Baselios Thomas I Catholicose College of Engineering and Technology (BTC) is consistently ranked among the best-known engineering institutions in India. Generally, it is through the Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical Entrance Examination (KEAM) that BTC grants admission into the institution. The singles state-level entrance exam will be the common gateway for any aspiring candidates to be considered for admission into engineering courses at the institution. Students applying for B.Arch scores can also apply to the program-related architecture courses.

The candidate is usually required to have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects for basic eligibility to B.Tech courses offered by BTC.

Application Process

The following steps are involved in the admissions of the Baselios Thomas I Catholicose College of Engineering and Technology:

1. KEAM Examination: Under this step, the students will have to register for and then appear for the KEAM examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala.

2. KEAM Application: Fill in the KEAM application form mentioning all required details along with preferences of colleges and courses.

3. Document Verification: Prepare all required documents which should be ready for any kind of verification like:

• Class and higher secondary school warning certificate
• KEAM score card
• Domicile certificate (if any)
• Any other relevant category certificate

4. Counseling: Participate in fully centralized counseling conducted by CEE Kerala. Here, students can make free choices regarding BTC and their preferred engineering course based on their KEAM rank and availability of seats.

5. Seat allotment: As per the allotment of seat, if any, at BTC, candidate must report to the college within a specified time period for document verification and confirmation of admission

6. Fee Payment: Payment of the admission and tuition fee as per the college and university stipulations.

7. Final admission: Complete admission formalities at BTC with the submission of original documents and other requirements stipulated by the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: Ms. C. Math: For various fields of engineering, BTC provides five industrial B-Tech programs. Admission to these courses is mainly based on the performance of the candidate in the KEAM examination. B-Tech programs include:

1. B.Tech Civil Engineering
2. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
3. B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering
4. B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
5. B.Tech Mechanical Engineering

All the above-mentioned programs require qualifying in the KEAM examination and participating in the centralized allotment process conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala. The final selection will be based on the rank obtained by the student in the KEAM and the availability of seats in the program chosen.
