Best Dental Science College, Madurai (BDSC) is one of the best dental educational institutions. The college offers the best dental education and is accredited by the Dental Council of India (DCI). BDSC's admission procedure is designed to select the most meritorious candidates for its postgraduate and undergraduate dental courses.
The BDSC admission process typically falls in line with the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) schedule. For the subsequent academic year, NEET registration is going to open from February 6, 2025, to March 6, 2025. Aspirants need to note down these dates and get ready accordingly.
Postgraduate admission for Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses is taken on the rank of NEET-MDS. BDSC offers MDS in seven specialties with a total intake of 15 seats. The candidate must complete the BDS degree and have a valid NEET-MDS rank to be eligible for admission.
Application Process
Best Dental Science College, Madurai, application process is as follows:
1. NEET Registration: The candidates must register themselves for NEET-UG (for BDS) or NEET-MDS (for MDS) on the official website of NEET. NEET application periods will most probably be between February 6, 2025, to March 6, 2025.
2. NEET Examination: Go for the NEET exam on the exam date. Prepare thoroughly with the aid of the NEET syllabus and last year's question papers.
3. Result Declaration: Wait for the result declaration of NEET. Only successful NEET candidates are eligible for admission to BDSC.
4. Counselling Registration: Register in the state counselling process (in Tamil Nadu) or All India Quota counselling, as the case may be.
5. Document Verification: Attend the counselling session with all the required documents, i.e.,
6. Seat Allotment: According to your category and NEET rank, the seats will be allotted during the counselling.
7. Fee Payment: Once granted a seat in BDSC, pay fees if any due, within the announced time to settle your admission.
8. Reporting to the College: Upon allotment of the seat and payment of the required fees, report to Madurai-based Best Dental Science College on the announced date for the purpose of completing the final formalities of admission as well as attending courses.
Degree wise Admission Process
BDS: The 100-seat Bachelor of Dental Surgery course provided by BDSC is strictly on the basis of the candidate's NEET-UG score. When the NEET results are declared, shortlisted candidates need to undergo the counseling process for allotment of seats.
MDS: Seven specializations are available in MDS courses provided by BDSC:
1. Periodontology (2 seats)
2. Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (2 seats)
3. Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (2 seats)
4. Oral Pathology (2 seats)
5. Public Health Dentistry (3 seats)
6. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2 seats)
7. Oral Medicine and Radiology (2 seats)
These are admitted on the basis of the candidate's NEET-MDS score. The candidates should have completed their BDS from a recognized institution and should possess a valid NEET-MDS rank.
