The admission process is as per the academic calendar and the applications are generally open in the months before the commencement of the academic session. For the undergraduate and diploma courses, the admissions are based on the Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Examination (UPCET) scores and for the postgraduate courses, the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) scores or the AKTU entrance examination results are taken into account.
The eligibility criteria for the course varies from one course to another, but the students must have a background in science subjects. The eligibility criteria for D. Pharma and B. Pharma courses is 10+2 with science subjects and a valid UPCET score. The eligibility criteria for M. Pharma course is B. Pharma degree and valid GPAT score or rank in AKTU entrance examination.
Application Process
The admission process varies depending on the program you are applying for at the Bharat Institute of Technology School of Pharmacy:
For D.Pharma and B.Pharma programs:
1. Appear for UPCET conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
2. Register for Counselling after declaration of UPCET Results
3. Fill up the choice of college and course at the time of counseling.
4. In case you get allotted a seat at Bharat Institute of Technology School of Pharmacy, proceed for document verification and fee payment.
For M.Pharma programs (Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics):
1. Appear for the GPAT exam or AKTU entrance examination.
2. Register for counseling after declaration of results
3. Fill up the choice of college and specialization during counseling
4. If selected, complete the admission formalities at the institute.
Degree wise Admission Process
B. Pharma There are 100 seats in the B. Pharma course at the School of Pharmacy. Admission is based on the candidate's score in the UPCET exam. Eligibility is 10+2 with science subjects. The total fee for the B. Pharma course is Rs 384, 000.
D. Pharma: The institute also offers Diploma in Pharmacy course with 60 seats. As in the case of B. Pharma course, admission in D. Pharma course is also done on the basis of UPCET exam. Candidate should have passed 10+2 with science subjects. The total fee for D. Pharma course is Rs 111, 000.
M. Pharma Pharmacology: This M. Pharma course has 15 seats. The admission is done on the basis of either a valid GPAT score or the rank obtained in the AKTU entrance examination. The candidate should have passed B. Pharma. The total fee for this specialization is Rs 160, 000.
M. Pharma Pharmaceutics: Just like the Pharmacology specialization, M. Pharma Pharmaceutics also has 15 seats. To get into it, you should have a valid GPAT score or rank in AKTU entrance exam along with a B. Pharma degree. The fee for this program is Rs 160, 000.
