As we all know colleges are not opening because of COVID-19 ans studies are going online i am in first year so don’t about the living space & all but as i see the faculty of teaching was very nice and supportive.
The quality of teaching was very supportive and always looking forward for the bright future of their students they away try to do their best for their students and support students in any difficulty .
The placement at my college was average infect good many webinar are held for students and information provided regarding the many companies cousres and most off the students take part in it and interested students apply for that.
Yes i feel that my money worth . The faculty was very nice in my college but i am not satisfied with the finance faculty as i paid by mistake I wrote a msg they seen it but did not reply that was really not expected.
As i am a freshers I didn’t visit to the college but I hope that my college campus was very clean and hygienic and as i said before teaching faculty was very good in my college and location of my college was aslo seems safe .
The infrastructure is fine. All living spaces are in good condition but since it's a central university, repairs and maintenance takes a lot of time. The cafeteria is good, the students are provided with healthy food and hygiene is taken care of.
I am studying English Literature and this choice was out of my passion for the subject. The faculty is very good and is very supportive. The curriculum is fine. Since it is literature, it is not so dynamic as compared to other subjects in context to change. But still it is updated time and again according to the relevance. This course won't make you job ready. It has to be supported by masters degree or any additional course in order to be job ready.
The placements are decent. Almost 50% students are placed whereas the rest opt for higher studies. The packages are pretty decent for freshers. I didn't personally apply for the placements as I'm planning to do my masters further.
My course costs around 10000 per year. It is definitely worth it. Infact the quality of education that we are getting for this amount is commendable. It gives access for quality education for students across all backgrounds.
My college is an off campus college. but still it is pretty great. The societies and clubs enable students the required exposure in the respective fields. The students, teachers and the staff everyone's very cooperative.
Infrastructure is not that great. Benches of the old building are broken. The new building is fine. Facilities are okay. We don't have any wifi in the campus. Hostel condition is miserable. Canteen food needs improvement in cleaning and hygiene.
Academics wise college is good. Faculty of my department is nice and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and understanding. I have no issues with the quality of teaching. But I was disappointed by one thing that they did not allow us to choose from the optional subjects (electives) in my last year.
Placement in the commerce department is great. As far as my department is concerned, not many companies are attracted towards hiring students. In my knowledge, an airline company comes with a mediocre salary package. The college needs to improve in this matter.
Definitely it holds value for money. My course costs around 9000 - 10000/- which is one of the most attractive features of being in Delhi University.
Campus life is boring. Only the annual fests are hard to forget. There isn't many exciting things to do in the campus. But yes of course you can join various societies for fun.
We have got one big library with computers and many other computer labs. As well as an auditorium is in making. There are separate labs for Psychology Hons. We also have sanitary pads machine in all the washrooms. And washrooms are mostly clean.
College is mostly famous for it's good staff in commerce department. History Hons teachers are also really good and are able to teach bilingual classes. They often conduct meetings with student representatives about course and the curriculum and take student's reviews very seriously.
The Opus placement cell of our college is highly active and placement is not a problem if you work hard and study hard. Placement cell will always have your back. Mostly placement cell provides jobs to commerce students and doesn't really assure anything for BA students. But college offers lot of side courses like language courses open for all.
It's a Delhi University college. So it is given that the fees is very low. And it's worth it.
Campus isn't very big but isn't very small there are lot of building work that is going on right now. We also have a hostel in college, An Auditorium in making. And two buildings of college classes.
Really good college. Crowd is the only drawback but with the time the crowd is also getting better. Canteen food isn't bad. Cultural societies are really good. Especially dance and fashion society of the college.
Can't say about living spaces as I don't live in the hostel.. but it seems good. Though the food is never hygienic. No basketball court which I was looking forward to..just a plain ground.. yeah but gyms there, paying a 100 a month or something, pretty reasonable than outside with great sports teachers for taekwondo, boxing and stuff... And the sports quota people seem pretty satisfied with things in college and further growth. Infrastructure looks pretty average from outside..wifi does not work
I am studying English hons. because it has always been my favourite subject and I am good at it. The teachers of DU are very good and I love all my teachers. The curriculum is decided by the government..but it seems pretty much updated..and any course does not make you job ready.. it's your development that makes you..your understanding of the workings of the world and how you can contribute to it your best.
I am in the first tear and that too corona didn't let it complete.. but I know my colleges' placement cell works very hard..I did too apply for internships but then again corona came..I am sure though nobody wants to join this college..very less people(they are really great at predicting)..I also didn't..but if you come... don't feel bad about it and enjoy this college..
10,000 something..okay fine pretty much..but other government or rather DU colleges can be more cheaper.. but yeah value for the money... and amazing lectures are conducted and frequently with so much diversity and almost always going on.
Certainly not much campus life..colleges are graded high because of their campus life..I read it somewhere before joining and felt it..but still the fests times are great..and the societies are very good..staff are okay..it is far.. people travel a lot..seems safe..I think it can handle emergencies...and yeah almost forgot...wow..it's a girls college.
I love my college
The college is full of dust as the new building is under construction. No greenery ,only pathways to walk upon. The desks in the old building and the walls need to be revamped. The only good thing in is the gym. Canteen is so dull and bad.
Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are very lenient and good in giving marks, in comparison to other college they give really good marks in internals. Library is pathetic so it is better if you arrange your own resources .
Only average and new startups offer placement. However, they are varied workshops, short courses and seminars often take place( you even get attendance and certificate for attending them ). Nothing extraordinary but yes good
Very affordable in every sense. The fees is low and conveyance charges are also 20 per day if you take e rickshaw after reaching Janakpuri East metro station. College also has PNB bank in it and a few societies.
Located in janakpuri area, there a few places to hang out in District Centre and watch movies at INOX and munch at McDonald's and also the Mall near BTW. They are few good places to hang out and enjoy while studying .
College does have the necessities but the major drawback is places aren't well mangaed like places like washrooms aren't hygiene infact very poorly managed the canteen it can be handled more nicely like the ventilation can be nice, chairs could be added. Inshort places could be made more attractive and nice very easily if handled properly and with more sense of responsibility (within the staff and the students too)
I am persuing BA hons(history)...And the teachers are very helpful & supportive! The sylllabus is updated & all the details related to the course and activities are updated by the teachers! The staff is always available for your queries.
The College try to provide the best placements for the students as well as the teachers also encourage students to take one of the placement the quality of the placement of the College has been good and well handled.
The course costs around 10,000 and yeah it is worth paying for!
The campus is nice but could be excellent as the academic and staff is great! But the infrastructure is not so nice but yeah changes could be made!
The infrastructure of our college is very rustic and has a vintage feel, which is ironic as its one of the youngest colleges of DU. The building looks especially beautiful on cool, rainy days when the red bricks covering the walls darken in color. The classrooms are usually clean. Although, the fans and the lights fail to function which can cause alot of trouble during hot early days of the academic year. Other than that I’m satisfied with the infrastructure of our college.
Bharati College has one of the best English Departments in university of Delhi. The teaching method, the material provided, the discussions, the extra lectures from professors from other colleges and unis. make for a pretty good education. I do have problems with the syllabus but thats not on our professors. They work very efficiently with whatever they have. Bharati is good choice if you are seeking B.A. (H) English.
I havent really seeked out placement yet. Thats because I am in my first year here, but I have heard only positive things about the placement cell of our college. I think you should give it a chance :)
I honestly did not expect a lot from Bharati College but its been surprisingly great in all sectors (academic, cultural, etc.) and since the fees for DU courses is already not too much, i would say im getting better than the value for money give. The professors (talking about the English department) are excellent and they even go out of their ways to invite lecturers from other places to discuss academically and contemporarily relevant topics.
Bharati is not a South campus college and ofcourse not a North campus college so the campus life here isnt as rich as of others but its not bad either. The metro station is very close, Pacific mall is 20 minutes away, Maharaja lane, thats next to MSI college, has to offer some beloved hangout spots and then we have Jail road for other nice cafes. But,i guess if the metro is close, you can get anywhere quickly. The societies are fun to be a part of and you get to explore other DU colleges that way.
Coming from a very pampered environment, I was prepared to be disappointed by Bharati, after reading all the negative reviews, BUT, I was very pleasantly surprised. I have met some incredible people here and that might be a big reason why I have grown to like this place but I think you should give it a chance. Bharati might end up surprising you too, woth everything it has to offer. In the end, you choose how you want your college life to be. Its not Hindu, but Bharati has its own charm :)
The infrastructure of the old buildings are quite old fashioned but the new buildings that are under progress are ambient. Also the other facilities of wifi and drinking water is not satisfactory otherwise the overall environment is nyc
I am a journalism student and as far as my academics is concerned it is excellent. Professors take regular classes and punctual about studies and they are well experienced who guide us for the future goals and gives knowledge about our field
I haven't seen a a very gud response from our placement cell they are quite slow in working and the percentage of placed students is very less but i have seen improvement as the students of our department got internship in times internet and other popular agencies
I feel I have spent my money at the right place because the experience i m gaining is worth it because our department works really well in every field whether it is in academics or in cultural events
Campus life is quite nyc but it after the phase when u get used to ut otherwise it feels like we were much better in school N as far as safety is concerned the campus is in the porsh area and its very safe when riots happened in jamia n jnu we didn't feel unsafe in our campus
