Browns College of Pharmacy, Ammapalem Admission Process

Brown's College of Pharmacy, Ammapalem , being an affiliated institution situated in the Khammam District of Telangana. The institute imparts various pharmacy programs and follows a systematic admission scheme in order to select deserving ones. The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and offers UG and PG pharmacy programs. Brown's College of Pharmacy admission procedures rely mainly on entrance examinations conducted by the state. For example, entrance tests are conducted for B.Pharm. and Pharm.D. admissions through the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). This will be held in late April, with the next exam on April 28-29, 2025. 

For example, in the case of admissions for M.Pharm., the TS PGECET scores are used, which are usually conducted in mid-June, with the subsequent exam scheduled for June 15-18, 2025. The eligibility criteria for the B.Pharm. and Pharm.D.; normally admits candidates who have completed their education of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry as well as Biology/Mathematics as their main subjects. In the case of M.Pharm., the candidates should possess a B.Pharm degree from a recognized university. Specific eligibility criteria may differ among programs, and the candidates should check the official college website for comprehensive information.

Application Process

The application process for Brown's College of Pharmacy varies according to the program:

For B.Pharma and Pharm.D. programs:

  1. Register for the TS EAMCET examination through the official website.
  2. Appear for the TS EAMCET on the scheduled dates (April 28-29, 2025, for the upcoming academic year).
  3. Counseling is conducted for qualified candidates after the announcement of results.
  4. Choose Brown's College of Pharmacy in the counseling process for the program (B.Pharma or Pharm.D.).
  5. Report to college for document verification and admission formalities if allocated a seat.

For M.Pharma programs:

  1. Register for the TS PGECET examination through the official website.
  2. Appear for the TS PGECET on the scheduled dates (June 15-18, 2025, for the upcoming academic year).
  3. Counseling for qualified candidates will be done after the result is out.
  4. Choose Brown's College of Pharmacy in the counseling process for the preferred M.Pharma specialisation.
  5. Report to college for document verification and admission formalities if allocated a seat.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Pharma admissions: B.Pharma has a total sanctioned intake of 100 seats at Brown's College of Pharmacy. Admission to this program is based upon the scores of TS EAMCET, which is an online entrance test for Agriculture and Pharmacy streams. Only candidates clearing this TS EAMCET will be eligible for admission under Category A seats.

Pharm.D: The PharmD course offers 30 seats. Like B.Pharma, admissions to PharmD are, however also on the basis of TS EAMCET scores. The procedure for admission and eligibility criteria are similar to that for B.Pharma.

M.Pharma: Brown's College of Pharmacy offers three specializations in M.Pharma:

  • M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Analysis (15 seats)
  • M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics (15 seats)
  • M.Pharma in Pharmacy Practice (15 seats)

Admissions to all M.Pharma programs are based on TS PGECET scores. The TS PGECET is conducted offline and covers various engineering and pharmacy disciplines. Qualified candidates are eligible for admission under Category A seats.

Documents required for admission generally include:

  • TS EAMCET/TS PGECET scorecard
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • Degree certificates and mark sheets (for M.Pharma applicants)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photograph.
