BSM College of Polytechnic, Roorkee Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college providing hygienic hostel facilities for engineering students were functioning since 2012 with 162 rooms for boys with excellent facilities. BSM college has a dedicated warden and some of the senior faculty will be taking care of hostel residents. The following facilities are provided to the inmates: Iron Cot Mattress, Almirah Table Chair, Mineral Water, Library and internet facilities up to 7 pm on weekdays, Free medical check-ups and diagnostic checks, Safe and secure environment conducive for studying Ragging free environment.

The Campus hospital was commissioned in 2012 to provide the much-needed specialty health Care for residents of Roorkee and Haridwar towns. The hospital has state-of-the-art technology, with round-the-clock patient care in 50 beds spread over a dozen branches of health care, following Speciality Departments: General Medicine, General Surgery, Dental Surgery. The healthcare center facilities for the students are provided by the BSM Institute of Engineering and Technology, a multi-facility 24/7 hospital inside the (Educational Institutions) campus, which provides treatment free of cost.

The college library is fully equipped to cater to students’ requirements. It subscribes to 36 National & 18 International Journals & various Magazines every year. Apart from the main library, the concerned Heads of the Departments also maintain departmental libraries. Each department has books for ready reference for the faculty and the research scholars. The library is upgraded on the lines of accreditation and standard is maintained accordingly. The college has a spacious and well-furnished library with a reading room capacity for 200 students at a time. The library has a rich collection of 6,000 books covering all disciplines of Engineering and Technology Science. The college provided good facilities, resources, and equipment for games and sports. it has a full-time sports officer apart from the faculty to train the students in the sports of their choice. The members of the staff guide the student in the activities such as debates, quizzes, dance drama, education, etc. while helping them in organizing and managing these functions. outdoor games such as cricket .football, basketball, volleyball, etc. are available for both boys and girls and the faculty at large.

The college has computer labs are available on multiple floors. The college has a leased line internet connection, which is locally networked and connected through more than 20 Wi-Fi routers, covering the campus. Computer laboratories are equipped with the most advanced systems for both: Windows and Linux servers. Students can get hands-on experience with the latest software packages and browse selected internet sites at the same time. 

The college cafeteria served nutritious and hygienic edibles at subsidized rates. The menu varies from spicy samosas, wafers to a full meal. Students also have a wide range of chocolates and soft drinks to choose from a high standard of hygiene is maintained ensuring the satisfaction and contentment of students.

The college has an auditorium which facilitates the students to carry out their activities in the right environment, smoothly and with ease. The Auditorium is centrally air-cooled, fully equipped with the latest Audio-Visual Electronic Devices to accommodate students for various activities. Seminar halls are also available for meetings, workshops, Students Presentation, Project presentations, Panel discussions, and Interactive sessions. Seminar halls have been specially built to accommodate a large group of students for guest lectures by industry personnel and visiting guest faculties. To undergone events like seminars, conferences, cultural programs, debates, skits, and pre-placement talks.

The College provides transport facilities to its students through a fleet of buses, covering almost all major landmarks in Roorkee and Haridwar. The College runs 15 buses for this purpose. This Facility is available for all students. However, students are required to apply for the same at least 15 days before the start of a session. Students can board a bus after showing the bus pass to the bus in charge, which will be issued to him/her in advance after the deposition of the transportation fee.
