Chengalpattu Medical College is one of the eminent government-run medical colleges in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu. It also offers a myriad of undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty medical courses. Admissions are highly competitive and mainly based on national-level entrance tests in Chengalpattu Medical College.

Application Process
The application process for Chengalpattu Medical College is different for different fields:

Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS - Admission for the MBBS course in Chengalpattu Medical College is as per the NEET-UG examination. This college has an annual intake of 100 students in the MBBS program. NEET-UG eligibility demands completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
MD/MS - Chengalpattu Medical College has 14 MD and 4 MS Programs with 83 seats in total available. Registration is based on the scores obtained in NEET-PG with a left-out counseling process. Eligibility after completion of MBBS within India is a requirement. Some of the courses that attract many applicants are MD General Medicine-10 seats, MS General Surgery-15 seats, and MD Anaesthesiology-12 seats.
M.Ch- Chengalpattu Medical College offers 2 M.Ch Courses-Plastic Surgery and Urology, Agriculture will be admitted for 6 seats set aside for the M.Ch program. DM- The college, for its DM courses, offers the following specializations- Neurology, Cardiology, and Neonatology, for which 12 seats are available. NEET-SS is the entrance examination that will be conducted for these courses. MD holders in the related field are eligible for admission to these Super-Specialty courses.
B.Sc.-The program is with 20 seats in Radiology and Imaging Technology. Admission is based on the rules of the affiliated university.
Diploma Courses-The college offers Diploma Courses in Medical Laboratory Technology (100 seats), Dialysis Technician (20 seats), and Emergency Care Technician (20 seats). The admissions are conducted as per the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai committee guidelines.
