Yes, we have good infrastructure and facilities like library, two auditoriums, separate gyms for girls and boys, and an useless canteen. No wifi in college for students but in hostels we have. The food is very inferior quality, one or the other person suffer everyday due to food poisoning. The living space is also moderate to good.
Currently pursuing BTech in Agricultural Engineering. And the quality of studies of moderate to good. The curriculum is up to date. Upto a certain level it does make us job ready but it makes us ready for higher education more. But still there is huge scope of improvement in this regard.
Sometimes no placement sometimes some people get placed, because of location constraint very less companies visit. The average salary was offered 3lakhs. People are more interested in higher studies and government jobs.
Almost 9,000 Rs for a year for ICAR and state quota students and almost 1 lakh Rs for payment seats for a year. Getting seat through any entrance exam makes this college value for money.
It's all greenery around, campus size is small but good. Teachers are good, helping nature. Students are also good. It is located on the national highway of sikkim and road connection is good.
In this college, less cultural but studies level is good overall
The college has smart classrooms, library, auditorium, playground. We have gyms in hostels with basic gym equipments.Hostels has wifi facility. Hostels have two seater and single seat rooms. One small college canteen is also there.
My course is BTech. Proper education facility and supporting teachers. The curriculum is revised and updated as well includes most of the recent development. But due to lack of sufficient facilities the curriculum doesn't make us job ready.
Less than 10% placement in this college for Agricultural Engineering. Those placed people also got very less packages. For Food Technology there is no placement. The teachers are not very supportive regarding the placement.
If someone coming by giving entrance exam then fees is Rs 9000 annually and if someone is coming in high fee category then fees is more than Rs 1 lakh annually .But no placement so people go for higher studies. So it is not worth it for money.
The college premises is small and surrounded by nature, so for nature lovers it is best. There is no clubs or societies in the college. If someone wants to come for studies purely then it is a good college. Good connection to national highways NH10 of Sikkim.
Average college.
The college has all the necessary infrastructure along with other facilities and equipments. We have smart classrooms, two auditoriums, gyms in hostels with basic equipments, laboratory for each department and one computer lab. All the labs are in working stage and well maintained. There is no wifi in college for students but wifi is available in hostels. The mess food is of worst quality and mostly non veg, no fair options for vegetarian.
I'm a BTech AE student here, and the best part about this college and one of the reason why I'm studying here is it's studies level , teaching quality. We have some of the best professors and scientists here who are teaching us.The curriculum is updated but this college always lag behind in completing the syllabus on time. For BTech it's good college, but for PG (sometimes even 4 years) or PhD it's not good, as it takes more years to complete the degree.
There is no as such placement record but one or two company visit and offer highest package of 4.5 lpa(latest data). Out of batch of 30 students maximum 4-5 get placed on campus. Mostly people goes for higher education (15- 17 out of 30 or even more than this). This is because the college is more supportive in making us ready for pursuing higher studies and not for jobs.
The fees of this college depends on the quota by which you are coming, since I came by ICAR, and those who secured seat by state quota pay 9000 a year which includes everything (tution fee, hostel fee etc) except mess fee, which we have to every month. Almost 1,08,000 is paid by higher fee category students. Seeing overall facilities, for me the money is worth it.
It is compulsory for all the student to stay in the hostel, for girls' hostel the last entry time is 6:30 pm in summer and 5:30pm in winter. For boys, no last entry time. The campus is full of greenary and this is one river just beside our campus makes our experience more soothing. The students and teachers both are very friendly and supportive here.
I learnt a lot and experienced various things, we have sports week every year, one or the other training programs for enhancing our skills. The campus has a good connectivity to the roads (NH). Overall it's good if anyone want to study in minimal fees.
