The infrastructure is modern and visually impressive. The college has invested a lot in sustainable infrastructure, so you’ll see solar panels on roofs and rainwater harvesting setups everywhere. The labs are up-to-date with industry-standard software, which is a major plus point for practical learning. The library portal allows you to access thousands of e-journals from your hostel room, which was incredibly useful during my final year project. However, the elevator situation in the multi-story academic blocks is terrible. There are only two lifts for a five-story building packed with hundreds of students, meaning you almost always end up taking the stairs if you want to be on time for a lecture.
Living in the campus hostel gives you a very clear picture of the infrastructure. The new hostel blocks are excellent, almost like budget hotels with attached bathrooms and regular cleaning services. However, if you get assigned to the older blocks, the rooms are damp and the electrical sockets are poorly placed. The academic infrastructure is universally good, though. Every classroom has a projector, and the ventilation is decent even during hot summers. The campus security is very tight, with biometric turnstiles at the entrances and CCTV coverage everywhere, which makes it feel safe but can sometimes feel a bit restrictive when you’re just trying to get back from a late group study session.
Our college boasts a lot about 100% placements in their brochures, but the reality is more nuanced. Yes, almost everyone gets placed, but a huge chunk of those placements are in sales or support roles that many students didn't actually want. If you are aiming for product-based roles or niche analyst profiles, you have to fight tooth and nail. The highest package last year went up to 24 LPA, which looks great on banners, but only two students got it. The median is closer to 5 LPA. It's your take afterall.
The infrastructure here looks amazing in the brochures, and to be fair, the outer campus is beautiful with lots of greenery and modern architecture. The library is easily the best part of the college—it’s a massive three-story building, fully air-conditioned, with plenty of quiet study cubicles and a great collection of both academic and fiction books. However, the experience varies once you get to the actual classrooms. While the new management block has state-of-the-art smart boards and comfortable seating, some of the older engineering blocks still have creaky wooden desks and fans that make way too much noise.
We have a proper football turf, a well-maintained cricket ground, and synthetic basketball courts that are lit up at night. The gym is decent, though it gets incredibly crowded during the evening hours. Moving on to the academic infrastructure, the labs are generally well-equipped with modern apparatus, and we rarely had to share instruments during experiments. The main issue is the hostel infrastructure. The rooms are quite small for double sharing, and the common bathrooms can be a nightmare during the monsoons due to drainage issues.
Honestly, the placement scenario here is pretty decent, but it completely depends on how much effort you are willing to put in. If you are expecting companies to just hand you a job because of the college tag, you’re in for a rude awakening. The placement cell is quite active; they do bring in a mix of big mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys, along with a few premium core companies if you are lucky. Last year, the average package for our branch hovered around 6 to 7 LPA. The real struggle is the screening process. You really need to keep your CGPA above 8 to even sit for the high-paying roles.
Campus life here is exactly what you make of it. If you choose to just go to class and head back to your room, it will feel mundane. But if you join the clubs, it completely transforms your experience. We have everything from a high-energy dance club to an active robotics society. The annual cultural fest is the absolute highlight of the year; the entire campus is decorated, classes are suspended for three days, and we get to see major artists perform live. The daily rhythm is quite relaxed, though the 75% attendance rule is strictly enforced, which dampens the fun a bit.
As the iit promotes itself it is a clear win to get this college you ate going to learn so much while fun and play mode. You can join clubs and committees and focus on your career simultaneously. You will get a chance to explore both.
Best faculty best teachers most knowledgeable..their teaching skills are marvellous they are the best some are strict too to get number you have to be in good books. All the best if you're joining the journey.
Placement of IIT is fabulous as they promise. Only the top students get the good package. Rest get moderate package. Some get less. But it promises 100 percent placement. If you could Crack IIT then you can excel here too.
100 percent
infrastructure at IIT Delhi is really good for a govt college. classrooms are well equipped, labs are excellent especially for CS and research. wifi is decent, library is massive and well stocked. campus is big and green, hostels are functional and reasonably clean. overall solid infrastructure, no major issues
M.Tech at IIT Delhi is research heavy which takes some getting used to, professors are highly qualified, many are actively publishing which shows in how they teach, curriculum is solid and updated, more self driven than bachelors, you really have to push yourself, good preparation for research or senior industry roles
placements are excellent, students get strong offers, packages range from 20-50 lpa, top product and research companies recruit here, placement cell is well organized and IIT Delhi brand is extremely well respected. overall very smooth process
fees are very reasonable for an IIT, around 1-2 lakhs per year, for the quality of education, research exposure and brand value you get, honestly one of the best deals in the country
campus is big and well connected, being in Delhi is a huge advantage. lots of fests and academic events through the year. students are sharp and ambitious, good peer learning environment. faculty is approachable and support staff is decent. feels very alive compared to an isolated campus like BITS
Infrastructure is crazy big and fun to walk around, although requires a lot of walking and a lot of used to cycle around the campus. wifi, food and classrooms hold my core memories now. although wifi would be a problem at all times but now using 5G you can overcome that.
best faculties you'll ever find anywhere , they are like my chosen family . Although competition is really tough and hard to beat with time it gets better as the system is predefined and doesn't really make changes , it would be better if they bring new changes with time
Amazing Placements especially if you are a 9 pointer i.e 9 cgpa holder at the end of your final year you will actually get placed with a good package as soon as super dream company comes for the placements.
Since it's subsidised
Good college First day in college is a memorable experience in every student’s life. It is the beginning of a new journey filled with excitement, nervousness, and hopes. When I entered my college for the first time, I felt both happy and anxious because everything was new for me. The college campus was large and beautiful, with many classrooms, laboratories, and a library. I met new classmates and teachers who were friendly and supportive. On the first day, we attended an orientation program where teachers introduced us to the rules, courses, and activities of the college. I learned about different clubs, sports, and cultural events that students could join. I also made a few new friends and explored the campus with them. The atmosphere of the college was very different from school life because students had more freedom and responsibility. My first day in college gave me confidence and motivation to work hard for my future. It taught me the importance of discipline, communication, and teamwork. I will always remember my first day in college as a special and joyful experience.
Academic life is an important phase in every student’s journey. It is the period during which students gain knowledge, develop skills, and prepare themselves for future careers. Teachers play a vital role in guiding students and motivating them to achieve their goals. Friends and classmates also contribute by creating a supportive and competitive environment. A balanced academic life is necessary for success. Students should focus on studies while also taking care of their physical and mental health. Placement is an important part of college life for students. It provides opportunities for students to start their professional careers after completing their education. College placement programs help students connect with companies and employers who are looking for skilled and talented candidates. Through placement activities, students can attend interviews, aptitude tests, group discussions, and technical rounds to secure jobs in reputed organizations. Placements motivate students to improve their academic performance, communication skills, and technical knowledge. Colleges often organize training sessions, workshops, and mock interviews to prepare students for recruitment processes. These activities help students gain confidence and understand the expectations of companies. A good placement opportunity gives students financial independence and career growth. It also brings pride to the college and encourages future students to work hard. However, getting placed requires dedication, discipline, and continuous learning. Students must develop problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and professional behavior to succeed in interviews. In conclusion, placement plays a significant role in shaping the future of students. Value for money means getting good quality, benefits, or satisfaction in return for the amount of money spent. It is an important concept in daily life because people always want products or services that are worth their cost. A product is considered value for money when it performs well, lasts long, and meets the needs of the customer at a reasonable price. In education, value for money means receiving quality learning, good facilities, skilled teachers, and career opportunities compared to the fees paid. Similarly, in business and shopping, customers compare price, quality, durability, and usefulness before buying anything. Expensive products are not always better, and cheap products may not always provide satisfaction. Therefore, wise decision-making is necessary to get the best value. Value for money also helps people save resources and avoid unnecessary spending. It encourages smart budgeting and careful planning. Companies that provide value for money often gain customer trust and loyalty because people prefer products and services that are reliable and affordable. In conclusion, value for money is about making the right choice by balancing cost and quality. It helps individuals spend wisely and gain maximum benefit from their investments, whether in education, shopping, or other areas of life.

Students attend classes, participate in seminars, complete assignments, and interact with teachers and classmates. These activities help students improve their confidence, communication skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities. Festivals, annual functions, and college events create joyful memories and strengthen friendships among students. Campus life also teaches students discipline, independence, and responsibility. Living and studying in a college environment helps students manage their time and make important decisions on their own. They learn to face challenges, solve problems, and work under pressure. A positive campus environment motivates students to perform better in academics and personal life. Teachers and friends play an important role in supporting and guiding students throughout their journey. Hi,
With a rank around 2000, your brother actually has a pretty strong chance for CSE at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Abu Dhabi.
The biggest advantage is obviously the IIT Delhi tag and the financial support they’re offering. The monthly allowance and hostel support make it much more manageable
In the counselling session, which is 1:1, the counsellors will direct the questions to you. Parents are often allowed to accompany students during counselling sessions, however, it also depends on the rules set by the IIT.
With a 413 rank, 350 gate score under the SC category, you have a fair chance of admission into XH:C6 paper at IIT Delhi. For more details on IIT Delhi cutoff, check here: https://www.careers360.com/university/indian-institute-of-technology-delhi/cut-off
