College of Engineering, Munnar (CEM) is an engineering college, self-financing in nature, situated at the scenic hill station of Munnar in Kerala. It conducts various postgraduate and undergraduate courses in engineering with a set procedure for the admission process. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: CEM provides B.Tech courses in Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The programs are admitted based on KEAM scores. The college has a total of 180 seats for these four B.Tech courses, with 60 seats for Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, and 30 seats for Electronics and Communication and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
M.Tech: The college offers M.Tech courses in Computer and Information Science Engineering, Power Electronics, and VLSI and Embedded Systems. Each M.Tech course has 9 seats of intake. Admissions are made through a centralized allotment procedure by DTE. Applications can be made by candidates with or without valid GATE scores, but GATE-qualified candidates will have an edge in the selection process.

College of engineering cherthala is better than munnar in placement and faculty wise. Average salary package offer in cherthala is around 3 lakh per annum. Around 60 to 70 %of student get placed every year. Top companies visiting are infosys, cognizant,IBS,TCS etc . Around 40%of student get internship. Faculty is good and knowledgeable and having good experience.

Life in College of Engineering, Munnar is certainly great for the ones who are here for academics. Facilities are provided adequately. Here, the academic level is given more focus by the faculty members of the college so as to give a proper structure of the career of the students. Besides, the beautiful campus has been the center of attraction. The college also provides better hostel and recreational facilities. Campus life is quite student-friendly and provides you a ragging free environment. Sports, though it is advertised by the institute that they focus on, but least it happens, anyways interested students participate and bring accolades. Placements are average though, everything depends on the opportunities grabbed y the student and his/her hard work and dedication.
