College of Fisheries, Ratnagiri Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College library has a good number of book collections including textbooks, reference books, and other collections, The total collection of books is 12500, and every year library subscribes to 15 Indian journals in physical format, and five online foreign journals. The library has a collection of reports, Newsletters magazines, etc. The college library has a PG/Ph.D. thesis 315.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

College of Fisheries, Shirgaon, Ratnagiri has two Boys Hostels viz., Old Boys Hostel and New Boys Hostel. Old Boys Hostel which was established in 1981-82 mainly accommodates PG students. New Boys Hostel established in 1998-1999 is for UG students.

Well well-equipped gymnasium facility is installed in the hostel.

First aid kits and fire extinguishers are provided in each hostel. In case of a medical emergency, such cases are referred to as District Civil Hospital which is four kilometers from the hostels.

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

Mess facility with kitchen, storeroom, washing area and a separate room for mess staff are available.

In the College of Fisheries Shirgaon, Ratnagiri; Course Non-Credit courses are offered under Physical Education such as Swimming and Yoga during B.F.Sc. curriculum. There are different facilities of Sports available such as outdoor games Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Volleyball, and Basketball grounds, and indoor games such as the Carom board, Table Tennis, etc. Separate Gym for Girls and Boys are available and the Swimming course is conducted at Govt.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has Classroom facilities for all students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has Workshop facilities for all students.

The college has Motive for the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
