Daita Madhusudana Sastry Sri Venkateswara Hindu College of Engineering, Machilipatnam (DMSSVHCE) is a premier institution, offering a wide array of engineering programs. The college is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has a carefully worked out admission program, which selects from among a host of eligible candidates for varying undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The main admission route for B.Tech programs at DMSSVHCE is through the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET), a state level examination for aspiring engineers seeking admission in various engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. For the college's postgraduate programs, the scores obtained through the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) are accepted.

Normally, the admission activity runs parallel to the timelines of AP EAMCET and AP PGECET. Interested candidates should visit the official websites of the entrance exams for the accurate date of application, examination, and declaration of results. In general, the admission process starts early in the year, with examinations taking place in the summer, and the admissions going through by August/September at the beginning of the academic year. For eligibility for the B.Tech program candidates, the minimum requirement is the completion of the 10+2 program with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Furthermore, it is important to note that admission in these programs is only granted to those who qualify in the AP EAMCET. A candidate for the M.Tech course should have a valid B.Tech/B.E. degree and AP PGECET.

Application Process

The process for application to DMSSVHCE will differ for various programs:

For B.Tech Programs:

  1. AP EAMCET conducted by APSCHE.
  2. Qualify for AP EAMCET with a valid rank.
  3. Register for the statewide counseling process.
  4. Select DMSSVHCE and B.Tech course preference during counseling.
  5. If a seat is allotted, report to DMSSVHCE for verification of documents and admission.
  6. Deposit the required fees to confirm the admission.

For M.Tech Programs:

  1. AP PGECET examination.
  2. Qualify for AP PGECET with a valid rank.
  3. Register for the statewide counseling process for admissions to postgraduate engineering.
  4. Select DMSSVHCE and M.Tech specialization preference during counseling.
  5. If a seat is allotted, visit DMSSVHCE for verification of documents and admission.
  6. Completing the admission process includes fee payment.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Tech: DMSSVHCE has six B.Tech programs with an intake of 300 seats. Admission to all B.Tech programs is based on the scores obtained in AP EAMCET. The offered programs are:

  1. B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (60 seats)
  2. B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (60 seats)
  3. B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (60 seats)
  4. B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (60 seats)
  5. B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (30 seats)
  6. B.Tech in Civil Engineering (30 seats)

To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and must qualify in AP EAMCET.

M.Tech: The M.Tech programs offered at the college total four, with an intake of 60 seats. Admission to the M.Tech programs is based primarily on the scores of AP PGECET. Programs offered are:

  1. M.Tech in Structural Engineering (15 seats)
  2. M.Tech in Machine Design (15 seats)
  3. M.Tech in Power Systems Control and Automation Engineering (15 seats)
  4. M.Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication Systems (15 seats)

Candidates are required to have a relevant B.Tech or B.E. degree and qualify in the AP PGECET for admission to these programs.

The immediate documents required include:

  • AP EAMCET/AP PGECET rank card and hall ticket
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • Degree certificates and mark sheets (for M.Tech applicants)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhar card
  • Recent passport-size photographs.
