Admission Process

B.Tech: The department has an intake of 60 students each in the B.Tech programs in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electronics and Computer Engineering. Both of these programs also have a provision for lateral entry, to the extent of 18 seats each. An integrated B.Tech program in Electronics and Communication Engineering exists with an intake of 25 seats. The basis for admission to these programs is generally performance in the entrance examinations.

M.Tech: M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering has an intake of 30 students. Admission is mostly done on the basis of the candidate performance in graduate level entrance examinations and academic performances in relevant undergraduate programs.

Ph.D.: Ph.D.s are awarded in the branch of Electronics and Communication Engineering by the department. The admission process involves intensive scrutiny of the candidates' research aptitude based on the review of research proposals and performance in interviews.
