DJR Institute of Engineering and Technology (DJRIET), Vijayawada, provides an extensive admission process for its different engineering and management courses.
The admission process usually starts in May-June, after completing different entrance exams. For B.Tech, DJRIET gives major emphasis to scores in the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). MBA candidates have to appear for the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET). M.Tech admissions depend on the performance in the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET).
Eligibility is different for each program. For B.Tech courses, one needs to complete 10+2 with core subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For MBA courses, a bachelor's degree would be ideal, while M.Tech courses ask for a B.Tech or equivalent degree.
Application Process
The process of application differs marginally in accordance with the program:
For B.Tech courses:
1. Pass AP EAMCET examination.
2. Check the official DJRIET website or APSCHE website for counseling schedule.
3. Apply for counseling procedure and select DJRIET and desirable courses during seat allotment.
4. In case of seat allotment, attend DJRIET for document verification and formalities of admission.
For MBA program:
1. Attend and pass the APICET exam.
2. Verify the MBA application procedure on the DJRIET website after the APICET result.
3. Submit the filled-up application form and documents required.
4. Participate in counseling if selected.
For M.Tech courses:
1. Get qualified in AP PGECET exam.
2. Refer the DJRIET website for submitting the application form for M.Tech.
3. Send duly filled-in application form with AP PGECET score and supporting documents.
4. Attend counseling if selected.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering (120 seats), Electronics and Communication Engineering (60 seats), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (60 seats), and Mechanical Engineering (60 seats) are provided by DJRIET. The major mode of admission is through AP EAMCET scores. Application starts once AP EAMCET results are announced.
MBA: The institute offers a two-year full-time MBA with 120 seats. Admissions are done on the basis of APICET scores. All candidates qualifying in APICET are eligible for seeking admission to the MBA course at DJRIET.
M.Tech: DJRIET provides M.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering (24 seats) and VLSI and Embedded Systems (24 seats). Admissions to these programs are made using AP PGECET scores. Eligible students with valid scores in AP PGECET may apply for these specialized post-graduate courses.
