Have a question related to DBIT Mumbai ?

    Hello Bob,

As per your question , I would recommend you to take dbit Mumbai cs/it because I have this opinion that in case of private college taking a core branch is not a wise option because the placements in 90% of the private colleges is not up to the mark.

In case of dbit Mumbai cs/it you will be having numerous opportunities and would have the benefit of receiving higher packages than the core branch. In core you would receive majorly packages ranging from 4-5 L per annum.

    Hi,

I hope you are doing well.

Thoppilan Romal Devassy and Kannan Sunder both natives of Mumbai are seventh semester students of the computer science branch in BITS, Pilani and have created history by being offered a whopping $ 2,35000 annual package (more than 1.44 Cr) by Google in 2013.

Deciding on the highest salary of a CS student graduate is a bit difficult. Several factors contribute to deciding the salary of a CS Graduate.

    • Tier of the college: what is a tier? Tier means level. Tier 1 colleges are IITs, Tier 2 colleges are NITs, and Tier 3 are private colleges. Companies that come in Tier 1 colleges pay handsomely to the students they hire. In tier 3 colleges, companies that come for campus placement doesn't offer a good salary package. They set an average salary package of 3-4lpa whereas in Tier 1 college sometimes the same company offers a package of 12-16lpa. In tier 2 college, the same company will offer around 6lpa. Therefore level of college does matter.
    • Job Profile: Different job profiles have different requirements thus different salaries too. Companies visit different colleges for different profiles. For example, a product based company will visit IIT Bombay for a Developer position, but the same company will visit IISc for Data Science or Analytics position. Thus salaries vary as per the job profile.
    • Skill: In the IT sector, skills are more important than your qualification. Even if you are a CS Graduate from Tier 3 college, you can still snatch a job with higher pay than a Tier 1 college candidate. The only necessary thing is a skill. In the past few years, we have seen this more often.
