I am studying bcom hons from 2022. The teaching is very good. But yes some time the pressure is so high during end sem examination where we have to prepare assignment also for test and exams which make so hectic. Yes the curriculum is updated ans includes all the recent developments.it teaches us excel , communication which is very important in nowadays life
The placement cell is active, but the opportunities vary depending on the course. Students from commerce and economics backgrounds generally have better placement prospects. The college also provides internship opportunities, which can be a stepping stone to securing a job post-graduation
The cost of one year is around 10000-11000 which is very minimal as compared to other colleges.

Great
The infrastructure of the college is up to mark...it can be more better but overall it is good. Some construction work is going on still may it will be completed soon..college campus is really nice with all facilities.
Overall all professors are good at teaching. They are friendly with the students and cooperative in nature. They teaches as with very positivity. Even in early 8 o clock classes my professor used to come earlier than us.....and teaches us with only 4 students also.
I don't have any such ideas about the placement as currently I am about to enter in final year...but my commerce friends say it will surely provide for placements. Last year the college nirf ranking was 35.
Yup it is value for money..it is not costly and affordable to everyone.....almost all delhi university college are value for money and anyone can afford it. Don't know about other courses my fee was very affordable for 2 years till now. It costs me 25k till now.
My overall experience at college is very enjoyable....I like the most about the college is its location.
The college is not so big but there is having the best facility which the students actually wants like big garden and ground. The department is having the seperate library. The college is provided wifi facilities only in computer labs.
The teachers are good and potential to their work the the teachers are helpful and provide the best knowledge to students as I am doing bachelor so our department teacher is nice. The curriculum is updated on the period basic.
The placement is nothing because the college is comes under government their is not having any placement cell for placement. They provide only degree the student find job from outside and and rest of the student gone for their master degree.
Yes college is value for money.
Campus Life is nice.
Nothing
The infrastructure is very old but the campus is quite big and it has facilities like classrooms both big and small ,library and a girls common room the equipment are quite old the space is clean but the food is not so well.
i am studying b.com hons i opted commerce in class 11 so it was the most opted course in my stream and i too liked studying all these subjects like law and marketing. The curriculum teaches the brief and provides a basic understanding i can't say it makes me job ready as more real life learnings is required
i am currently just starting my 3rd year as much i have heard from my seniors and saw their placement one who got good placement really got a good package which is 36 LPA in b.com (H) otherwise the basic 3 LPA is what i heard at the end skills matters and your academics. In terms of support yes college teachers do support if u have query.
The cost per year is less than 15,000 which is truly value for money which Delhi university is known for i do feel that i am getting my money's worth as education is very expensive especially doing from a private college cost way more than this.
The campus is quite good as it's in the prime location the tress are everywhere in college also a lot of plants and trees are there and in a nice way which makes it safe in day as outside college there are a lot of vendors are there for food but in night it is unsafe as it is not a residential place the students , teachers and staff is helpful
It's a average college overall if u get u will have to make efforts and try to learn different things like doing different courses whichever you feel you want to learn that could be anything like marketing , canva , excel etc
Dyal Singh College had a good infrastructure when I was studying there. I can easily compare it with prime colleges like Hindu, Hansraj, etc. We always won the award for the best green campus and the most beautiful gardens in Delhi. There are new buildings which include a special Science block with better laboratories.
As far as academics is concerned, the English department boasts of a highly qualified faculty. The teachers were exceptional in their domains. aia believe this was the norm throughout all the departments in the college
The placement scenario is not that great. Though good companies show up for recruitment, most of them want B.com or Economics graduates. Also, the English departments do not show much interest in helping to get their students placed.
I'm not saying it's the best college or you should go but yes it has got a DU tag and nothing's better than that tag for an undergraduate course.
There are several societies present in the college for extracurricular activities. So one can have great fun along with studies.
In all, the college is an above-average college. In the end what matters is how you utilize your three years.
DSC has excellent classroom bulidings and various type of ground available for students and canteen food also very good and affordable and library facilities wifi and aur conditioner to.over all infrastructure us amazing..
Aur college academic has amazing ,teachers facilities are amazing and they are very helpful and taking extra classes for students and they are well educated and qualified and students is scored good marks in academics.
Our college has good placement facilities and they provide placement facilities for students and college conducted many seminars related to placement and various type of companies conducted interview for students.
Dyal singh college is very beautiful college, college infrastructure is so nice and classrooms are so beautiful library,ac and wifi facility in our college, auditorium is so beautiful and canteen food is amazing and pocket friendly.
Our college is well educated faculty in the academic they are well qualified and well educated they are helping a lot they cleared all the doubts and conducted many classes about the doubts and over all the academic are very nice.
Placement system in our college is so nice many students did internship and jobs , college conducted many placement offers for students and teachers are also helping the students and many companies conducted the interview..
Infrastructure is good but don't expect very high-end amenities in the classroom. There's a fully sound proof & Air conditioned auditorium hall. The college is also equipped with a seminar hall, ampitheatre, parking spaces, spacious canteen, large playground, and the best part is, you have JLN Metro station right outside the college, so the commute becomes extremely easy. The college is also equipped with solar panels, so there is 24x7 uninterrupted power supply. Overall, the infrastructure is very good if you don't have a very high class expectation. You'll get everything. My favorite place was the library, which was a 2-storeyed building in itself.
Talking of political science, it is literally one of the best colleges. The professors are very knowledgeable, and are super friendly. It's been 5 years since I graduated but I am still in touch with some of them and they take active interest in solving your queries and doubts. I have seen some of my professors going an extra mile and helping the students by giving them books for free. Absolutely 10/10 on this.
There is a placement cell in the college, but talking about Political Science, don't expect direct placements. But, the knowledge that you will gain here will make you fir for higher studies or higher government services. Every year since the last 5 years, I have been seeing atleast one person from Dyal Singh College's Political Science department clearing UPSC and getting selected as IAS and Allied officers. Many have ventured into academics, some into Army, some as Lawyers etc.
At my time, the fee was just Rs. 6k yearly. So yes it was absolutely value for money. I am not aware about the current fee because things might have changed over the years because there were talks back then with this regard.
Campus life is pleasant. Best feature: if you are academically inclined person and are a part of academic society, you'll get to learn a lot with guest speakers coming in every now and then. Also, there are a lot of other societies like that for photography, music, literary, dance, debating etc. You should definitely be a part of them as it will expand your horizon and enhance your personality. You might not like the fest as such, when compared to other north campus colleges of DU. Also, during fest (and also otherwise), there are some anti social elements who would intrude and mess things up quite often. The college needs to regulate these things. The college politics is also quite bad. Students: depends on department. In the core departments they are mostly good and some are exceptional. Teachers: In the political science department most of them are brilliant. Support staff: they are quite supportive. But also a bit lazy and can be rude some times. Location: Absolutely perfect. It's right beside JLN Metro Station. It also has a dedicated bus stop for itself. Safety: yes it is safe. The college is very open aired and spacious so it can also handle emergencies very well. There are as many as 11-13 gates so escape is not an issue at all. Besides these, all the basic things like fire safety etc are take good care of.
I think I have shared everything in much detail.
Our college has good infrastructure buliding and classrooms are well developed and computer labs facilities and library facilities in library wifi facilities also for students, canteen food are amazing and pocket friendly.
Our college is very good in academic, various type of courses available in our college and teacher faculty are so nice and well educated they helping a lot in any type of doubt related to subject.they are qualified in there subjects..
