Gandhi Faiz-E-Aam College, Shahjahanpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a hostel for boys with 45 seats. Accommodation is given to bona fide deserving students of the College for one session only.

The College has A separate hostel for girls, with 28-room accommodation, which is under construction on the College Campus.

The college has a Central Library established in 1947 named after Khan Bahadur Fazl-ur-Rahman Khan, the founder of Gandhi Faiz-e-Aam College, Shahjahanpur. The library is considered the very center of the academic life of a college and plays an important role in carving the career of the students. The F.R.K. library is an impressive double-story building spread over an area of approximately 5000 sq. ft. with the world of knowledge housed in it. It has two spacious Reading Rooms, one each for Boys and Girls. The stack area is spread over two floors, apart from the Central Library, the seminar libraries are also run in Post Graduate Departments. The Total number of books in the College Library is more than 54846. There are 25695 books on different subjects in English Medium 16984 in Hindi Medium, 5839 Books in Urdu Medium, and 6328 books in other languages.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College has Games and Sports are run and supervised by the President of the Athletic Association. There is provision for indoor as well as outdoor games. Some of the outdoor games are Hockey, Football, Cricket, Volley Ball, basketball, Tennis, Kabaddi, etc. The indoor games are Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, and Badminton. Each game has a separate Club, with a Professor in charge as its President and a student member as its Student Captain. The College has extensive facilities for regular training and practice in field games, sports, and athletics.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The College has a Bank facility. Students of the College are expected to co-operate with the Proctorial Board in the running of the College smoothly. Men students shall, in particular, show courtesy and regard to women students, Disciplinary action may be taken against a student if the Proctorial Board finds that his conduct is not in keeping with the norms of the College. All students and staff can register their grievances on the cell. which shall take appropriate action within the stipulated time.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff. Internet connectivity with a Wi-Fi facility is provided to different departments.

• Each game has a seperate Club, with a Professor Incharge as its President and a student member as its Student Captain. The College has extensive facilities for regular training and practice in field games, sports and atheletics.

  All the Clubs and their playing members are under the direct control and authority of the President of the Atheletic Association.

  The proctorial and academic record of a student is always considered in appointing him to, as well as in removing him from, any post of the club as also the membership of the club itself. .

It is a platform to promote self motivation, initiative and self exploration capabilities among the students. As a supplement to class room teaching, Extra-Curricular Activities Committee of the college organises competitions and events to stimulate an environment where students can be decision makers, entreprenours, problem solvers and resource allocators.
