GIAL Kottayam Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Girideepam Institute of Advanced Learning(Kottayam), is one of the affiliated colleges that gained its recognition from AICTE New Delhi.  The comprehensive admission process undergone by GIAL Kottayam serves as a guideline according to which all the applicants are entitled to equal opportunity. GIAL has its eligibility set according to the sought program for which admission is being sought. In general, as an eligibility criterion, students seeking admission to undergraduate courses must have passed their 10+2 from one of the recognized boards. Relevant bachelor's degrees are a prerequisite for admission into postgraduate programs. Each course may have varying specific academic requirements and cut-off percentages.

Admission Process

The application process typically includes the following:

1. Access the admissions section of the main GIAL official site.

2. Download and fill up the application form for the desired program, ensuring that all entries are completed properly.

3. Attach all the necessary documents, which may include:

• Passport size photographs
• Marksheets and certificates from 10th and 12th grades
• Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets (for postgraduate programs)
• Entrance exam score card (if applicable)
• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC) if applicable
• Any other certificates or documents as specified by the institute

4. Submit the duly filled application along with necessary documents to the admissions section at GIAL. This is done either personally or through registered post.

5. Pay the application fee as mentioned by the institute. The amount and method of fee payment will be specified in the application form or on the website. 

6. Appear for entrance exams or extra tests, if any, as per the timetable published by the institute.

7. Shortlisted candidates shall be called for the interview or a counseling session, depending on the program and available seats.

8. Final selection will usually be made on the basis of academic marks scored by the candidate, the entrance test scores (if any), and the personal interview/counseling session outcome.

9. Selected candidates will be informed using the website of the institute or through email/telephone. Candidates need to complete the admission procedures which include payment of fees and verification of documents by the stipulated time to secure their seat. 

Degree wise Admission Process

BBA: The intake for the Bachelor of Business Administration program of GIAL is 50. Admission will be based on the candidates' performance in the qualifying examination (10+2) and according to entrance tests as prescribed by the affiliated university. 

B.Com: Various B.Com Programs at GIAL include Model I Finance and Taxation, Model II Vocational Finance and Taxation, Model II Vocational Computer Applications. Each of them has an intake of 40 students. Admission mostly depends upon marks received in the qualifying examination with additional directions from the institute or the affiliated university. 

BA English: The BA English program comprises an intake of 40 seats. Admission is mainly determined by an applicant's 10 + 2 examination score in English language proficiency.

BCA: The Bachelor of Computer Applications program has an intake of 30 seats. Admission will consider the candidate's qualifying examination, which will emphasize mathematics and computer science subjects.

MBA: The Master of Business Administration program at GIAL has a student intake of 60. Admission is usually based on the candidate's performance in a management entrance exam (such as CAT, MAT, or CMAT), followed by a group discussion and personal interview. 

M.Com: GIAL offers M.Com in Finance and Taxation (32 seats), and Banking and Insurance (15 seats). Admission is normally based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying bachelor's degree examination, along with any entrance tests conducted by the affiliate university. 

MA English: The MA English program will admit 15. Admission is generally based on the performance of the candidate in the qualifying bachelor's degree examination with a focus on English language and literature.
