The infrastructure of the college is very modern as it was established in 2014. Unlike it's government counterpart the college, hostel and hospital building are recently built and are in good condition. There are 2 small grounds, 2 badminton court and a basketball court. Apart from extracurricular there is 1 library (opens from 9 am to 5pm) and a air conditioned reading room which is open for 24 hours. All the lecture rooms har AC and are huge.
Academic wise it's a good College but as we are in college don't expect professors to pay attention on each and every individual, the college has all the practical labs well equipped and are the most important place to gain knowledge. The professors are well supportive (with a few exceptions ?).Also senior (main source of knowledge in med school) are also supportive (although being subjective to your behaviour). Also library have most of the standard books.
Actually there is no such thing as placements in the medical College. It's a great advantage of this course that no one with MBBS degree is unemployed ?. After completing MBBS there are a lot of different options for you you can simply join to any hospital as a doctor, you can give an exam to pursue PG, also you can go into and a professional writer in medical field and a lot more other options are available you may read about it online.
Although the fees for the course is not as low as government medical colleges but still is way less then private colleges, and after adding the hostel fees the mone may start to stack up quickly in private colleges. But in GMERS Medical College Valsad hostel fees is mere 6000 rupees for an entire year your parents' bank account don't suffer a big hit. Also keep in mind that it costs a lot for government to make one doctor and a lot of cost of the course is taken care by government.
Campus life is sort of very peaceful, thanks to the city of Valsad. Valsad is not a huge city and so there is not much hustle and bustle outside the campus (where you are gonna spend most of your weekends). The campus is also a pleasant place to spend your time, and there is a huge College event held every year by student community which is really fun and all the major festivals are also celebrated to add joy to your stressed out med school life.
