Government Medical College, Surat (GMC Surat) is a renowned college, providing quality Medical and Allied Science education. The college adheres to a rigorous admission process to choose the best and most worthy candidates for its different courses. GMC Surat provides diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in different specialties of medicine.

The admission process of GMC Surat usually starts in May-June for admission in August-September of the same year. The college offers admissions on national-level entrance exams and NEET-UG for under graduate and NEET-PG for post graduate courses.

For MBBS at undergraduate level, the minimum requirement to qualify is 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: Admission in MBBS of GMC Surat is based on the NEET-UG score of the candidate. GMC Surat offers 250 seats in MBBS. The candidates should pass 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and NEET-UG to get admission.

MD/MS: GMC Surat provides several MD and MS courses like General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Medicine, Anaesthesiology, etc. All of these programs' admissions are on the basis of NEET-PG scores. Each specialization has seats which are separate from one another, ranging from 2 to 22 seats.

M.Ch: M.Ch in Plastic Surgery is offered with 1 seat. Admission would likely be based on the performance in the Super Specialty Entrance.
