Lateral entry admissions: 20% seats of sanctioned intake will be available in each course as supernumerary seats. Admissions to this three year B Tech later entry Programme will be through ECET. The maximum period to complete B. Tech. under lateral entry scheme is six consecutive academic years from the date of joining.
GMR Institute of Technology admissions are offered for B.Tech and M.Tech courses to students. GMRIT Rajam admissions are offered to students for B.Tech courses based on AP EAMCET scores. For GMRIT admissions to M.Tech courses, scores of GATE/ AP PGCET are considered.

To get GMRIT admission to this course, the candidates have to qualify Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET).

GMRIT Rajam M.Tech provides a seat intake of 60 at the PG level. GMRIT admissions to the MTech courses are offered in 5 different specialisations.
GMRIT admissions to the B.Tech course is done based on the AP EAMCET scores followed by the counselling process. For GMRIT admissions to the MTech courses, students have to appear in GATE/ AP PGECET examination.
