Goa College of Arts, Panaji Admission Process

The Goa College of Arts, Panaji, is a renowned institution to promote arts education in Goa. Admission into its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Applied Art and Painting is an extremely competitive and merit-based process to find others worthy of having selection criteria involving spectacular talent and creativity as their punch lines for admission. The college admissions for all courses are usually carried out in a span between August to September. In assessing admission capabilities, selections also include a combination of marks in their qualifying examination together with the Aptitude test taken by the college in its own bounds. This combination of test and assessment is a perfect amalgam to ensure that the academic background as well as artistic flair of the candidate do get considered.

In the mode of applying in admission into undergraduate BFA programs, the 50-50 weighting method shall apply; that is, 50% of the merit shall be awarded to a skill on the basis of performance attained at the Aptitude Test conducted by the college and the other 50% will depend on the percentage of marks attained in the qualifying examination (10+2 examination or equivalent). For the merit of admission to postgraduate programs (MFA), in this same fashion, there goes consideration for a candidate's performance on the Entrance Test conducted by the college as well as his or her merit in the qualifying exam (generally a bachelor's degree).
