GGDSD College has always enjoyed a prevalent status in sports. During the year 2017-18 again we maintained excellence in the international and national sports arena. The college scored more than 28000 total overall points in the men section in GGDSD sports during 2017-18, as compared to 21900 in the previous year. The players have brought laurels to the colleges. 11 Players of different games have participated in different international tournaments. Department of Youth Welfare and Cultural Activities provides a platform for the students to present and to groom their talents and leadership qualities. The recreation room offers a wide range of indoor games that include Chess, Carrom, Chinese Checkers, Table Tennis, and Snooker. For outdoor activities, the college provides facilities for Athletics, Shot put, Javelin, and Hammer Throw.

The college has a well furnished smart classroom for ICT enabled classroom instruction.

The college organizes timely Medical Camps in order to ensure proper health status of its students and facilitators. Experts are invited for conducting health checkups and catering to health related queries and anxieties of the students.

For the convenience of the non-resident students and staff members, the institute arranges sufficient number of buses at nominal rates. These buses pick the students from most of the locations in tricity and adjoining areas to institute & back at fixed time as per the schedule of the college. GGDSD has a well stocked library and a rich repository of journals and periodicals for the benefit of students and faculty. This is one facility that sees regular additions.

The college has the Banks/ATM Facilities for all students.

The college has a well-equipped Seminar Hall with seating for around 100 people. It serves as the venue for the regular conferences, workshops, and seminars that are part and parcel of the teaching-learning practice. It also hosts a range of cultural and literary activities. It is spacious, ventilated, and fully furnished with projectors, screens, whiteboards, and audio systems.

The club aims to develop leadership qualities, organizing abilities, manual help & co-operation. It emphasizes self-reliance in the organization of its functions.

GGDSD College Alumni Association was incepted on 1st Dec 2020. The main aim of the Alumni Association is to provide a good and strong bridge for the students, faculty, and the Institute for mutual benefit and synergy. The association aims to promote a lifelong relationship and to act as a forum for the exchange of information among its members.

The Training and Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for students passing out from college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Cell operates around the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates and organizes Placement Drives for the students.
