Government Arts College, Ariyalur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a General Library, which is one of the major central support services of GAC, Ariyalur. The General Library is housed in a separate two-story building with a carpet area of 4000 sq.ft It strives to connect outstanding faculty and brilliant students to the knowledge and state of the art of their disciplines. As face is the index of a person, so is the library for an institution. 

College Sports is generally recognized as a system of activities that are based on physical athleticism or physical dexterity. sports (American English) include all forms of competitive physical activity or games which, through casual or organized participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants, and in some cases, entertainment for spectators.

The college has an Alumni association of Govt Arts College, Ariyalur was formed on 08/04/2017 named Munnal Manavar Sangam, arasu kalai kauri ariyalur(in Tamil) in the presence of Dr. G. Greeta Mary teneral Principal of this College, Dr. M.Rajamoorthy Coordinator of the Alumni Committee, Dr. S.Chitrarasu HoD of Tamil Department, Dr.A.Arul HoD of Environment Department, Dr.V.Poyyamani Associate Professor of Tamil Department and other faculty members and many enthusiastic former students of the college. 

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The English program of the college has a Language Lab exclusively to enhance the Language skills of students. There are ten numbers of Personal computers, a server, a few compact discs, and an LCD Projector with the screen. The students avail of the opportunity to use the tools of Language.

The canteen facility in this college is excellent. Though the building is very small with a light metal roof on top, it caters to the appetite of many teachers and students. All dine and drink tea without any inhibitions. They make good of the humble and the least available facility provided in the canteen. But now the government of Tamil Nadu has sanctioned some grants to construct a state-of-the-art building exclusively for the canteen. However, the canteen staff ensures that hygienic and qualitative food is cooked and served. Another special feature of this canteen is that several students have breakfast in the canteen as the canteen provides hot and fresh idli, a steamed item. This mention is necessitated to be made because it is a common trend that many poor students of rural colleges like this skip breakfast. But here in this college, the students fill their starving stomachs with simple and qualitative food.

Placement Cell is an integral part of this College. Training activities are conducted along with the soft skill center throughout the year to prepare prospective students for campus recruitment. Placement cell takes the initiative for developing the right attitudes, motivating the students to have strong analytical capabilities, and exposing them to the requirements of the competitive world
