Government Dental College, Medical Campus, Trivandram, is a world-famous institution for dental education in Kerala. The college has courses for bachelor and master's studies in various specialties of dentistry. For selection in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs, candidates are chosen by the Government Dental Colleges through national-level entrance testing.

For undergraduates, admission to the BDS program is granted based on the NEET score for admission. This single-entry mechanism allows the school to realize one of its major goals: ensuring accessibility to all qualified students across the country to enter such a prominent institution.

Admittance to the MDS program is through the NEET PG-examination for dental graduates specifically intending to specialize in various branches of dental science. 6. MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology (3 seats)
7. MDS Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry (2 seats)
8. MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology (2 seats)

Candidate eligibility for admission into the MDS programs includes BDS completion along with a satisfied NEET PG score. A merit list based on NEET PG scores will determine the final selection based on the counseling process.

The documents required for admission generally include:

  • NEET score card (UG or PG as applicable)
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • BDS degree certificate and mark sheets (MDS applicants)
  • Valid ID proof
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
