GECK Karwar Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The Government Engineering College, Karwar (GECK Karwar) is one of the finest and well-organized engineering institutions in the state of Karnataka. The college is proud to confer quality engineering education to its students. The college has a well-structured admission procedure according to the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) guidelines. The institute is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and provides four full-time BE programs that are duration of four academic years each.

The admission procedure generally starts with the announcement of KCET results. KCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted to admit students for various engineering institutes within Karnataka.

GECK admission seekers must, however, have completed the 10+2 with compulsory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, in particular. Selection will be based on the exam taken by the candidate, KCET exam, and the counseling process of KEA, verified by means of documents accompanied by option filling and seat allocation.

Application Process

Admission process for Government Engineering College, Karwar comprises the following steps:

1. Register and appear for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

2. After the announcement of KCET results, eligible candidates will call for counseling conducted by KEA.

3. Candidate shall verify their documents which comprise

• KCET score card
• domicile certificate (if applicable)
• other relevant certificates specified by KEA through the counseling process

Degree Wise Admission Process

B. Tech/BE: It presents the four BE programs namely Government Engineering College Karwar. The admissions to these courses take place based on the merit achieved by the candidates in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). The following BE programs are conducted here with an approved intake of 60 students for each program:

1. BE in Mechanical Engineering
2. BE in Civil Engineering
3. BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering
4. BE in Computer Science and Engineering

Candidates applying for these programs must complete their 10+2 in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The selection procedure will include the participation in the KCET counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
