GEC Raipur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

GEC, Raipur, the state engineering college, admission processes are utterly transparent. GEC has a number of engineering programmes running and it aims to provide only the best education among the engineering colleges. The admission is mainly based on merit: Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CG PET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). 

The admission process for GEC Raipur would mostly commence after the announcement of the two above-mentioned entrance examination results. 

Counseling for GEC, Raipur admission is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chhattisgarh.  The eligibility criteria for admission into GEC Raipur include passing of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Subsequently, the candidates must qualify in either CG PET or JEE Main examination. Finally, candidates are listed for admission based on accrued merit from the two entrance examinations.

GEC, Raipur Application Process

The application process for GEC, Raipur includes the following steps :

• Entrance Exams: Register and appear for either the CG PET or JEE Main examination. For CG PET, application may be filled through the official website of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. For JEE Main, application may be filled through the website of National Testing Agency (NTA).
• Declaration of Results: Wait for the declaration of results of CG PET or JEE Main.
• Registration for Counseling: After results are declared, register for counseling conducted by DTE, Chhattisgarh. Fill the counseling registration form and pay the registration fees.
• Document Verification: Appear for document verification according to the schedule released by DTE. Bring all original documents comprising mark sheets, domicile certificate (if applicable), and category certificates (if applicable).

• B.E. in Civil Engineering (40 Seats)

The admission procedure for all of these programmes is as mentioned below:

• Candidates are required to appear for either the CG PET or JEE Main examination.
• CG PET is a state-level common entrance test conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board.
• Scores from JEE Main are also valid for admission.
• Merit lists are declared based on the results of these entrance exams.
• Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chhattisgarh carries out the counseling process.
