Government Medical College, Baramulla Admission Process

Government Medical College in Baramulla and is a very well-respected institution that is involved with the medical side of things in Jammu and Kashmir, which is in India, of course. The college would be offering its premier course-that is MBBS-under a rigid admission process. In getting into GMC Baramulla, the candidates will have to go through the doors of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, or NEET-UG, which is conducted all over the country. Normally, admission cycles run with NEET-UG, which goes once a year. Candidates that will clear NEET-UG with threshold marks will then become eligible to apply for GMC Baramulla. 3. Document Submission:

  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Date of Birth certificate

4. Seat Allotment:

  • The allotment of seats is made through NEET-UG rank, category, and availability.

5. Admission Confirmation:

  • Visit GMC Baramulla on the due date scheduled for physical verification of documents.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: Government Medical College, Baramulla, has approved intake for 100 seats under the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. Admission to the MBBS course is based solely on performance on NEET-UG by the candidate, and comprised the following steps in the selection process:

  1. a candidate shall pass NEET-UG and secure a minimum of 50th percentile (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  2. Preparation of merit list as per NEET-UG scores.
  3. Counselling process for allotting seats in the course.

Eligibility conditions for MBBS admission include:

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English;
  • Minimum aggregate marks in PCB for general category (50%) (40% for SC/ST/OBC);
  • Qualifying NEET-UG with required percentile;
  • Minimum age requirement of 17 years as of December 31st of the admission year.
