Government Medical College, Osmanabad Admission Process

Government Medical College, Osmanabad and hence is one of the newest medical institutions in Maharashtra. It provides high-quality, cost-effective medical education under government management. It's a co-educational college, admitting students from all strata of society, providing equal opportunities for all aspiring medical professionals. The admission to Government Medical College, Osmanabad is through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET. This national level entrance exam is the sole admission criteria for MBBS course provided by the college. NEET is held annually in the first week of May and results are declared in June.

To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. The minimum percentage required in these subjects may vary, but generally, a score of 50% or above (40% for reserved categories) is expected. Moreover, candidates must also meet the age requirements set by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The NEET test has topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology) at the 10+2 level. It is a 180 multiple-choice question test summing up to 720 marks. The duration of the exam is for about 3 hours and 20 minutes. Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: The primary course offered at Government Medical College, Osmanabad is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). The college has an intake capacity of 100 seats for this program. Admission to the MBBS course is solely based on the candidate's performance in the NEET examination. The program duration is 5.5 years, including a one-year compulsory rotating internship.

Eligibility criteria for MBBS admission include:
