Satyanand Dimri Government Polytechnic, Barkot, was established in the year 2011. It is an affiliated college is situated in Uttarakhand, India. The college is a government-owned institution, and the All India Council for Technical Education has approved this institution. The campus covers an area of 4 acres and offers technical education. This polytechnic has a total student enrollment of 160 and a faculty strength of 7; therefore, it provides a focused learning environment. The institute currently offers two diploma programs that specialize in Civil Engineering and Information Technology to meet the growing demand for technicians with skills in these fields.

The polytechnic has a number of facilities designed and aimed at improving the learning experience of its students. There is a well-stocked library that acts as a knowledge center, allowing students to access large amounts of educational resources. The excellent infrastructure of the college in regard to information technology allows the students to be well informed with the latest developments, which are an essential part of today's digital world. In addition, the institute has a very strong bondage with its alumni through its active alumni association, creating a sense of belonging and networking activities for currently studying students.

Satyanand Dimri Government Polytechnic runs two full-time diploma courses, each with a duration of three years. The Diploma in Civil Engineering has an approved intake of 60 students, while the Diploma in Information Technology has 30 student intakes.
