36 MonthsDiploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharamshala, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to 1st year Engineering, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Fashion & Design, Architecture Assistantship, Fashion Designing & Garment Technology, and Film Technology & TV Production diploma courses in Government / Private Polytechnics of Himachal Pradesh is that the candidate must have passed 10th standard with 35% marks at the qualifying examination from a recognized Board/University or its equivalent (As prescribed by the AICTE in its Approval Process Handbook)
Eligibility Norms for Admission to 2nd year of Engineering
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to 2nd year in Polytechnics under Lateral Entry Scheme:
The candidate must have passed 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the subjects) or / 12th Science with Vocational or/ 12th Science with Technical or/ 10th + ITI/COE(2 years duration) with appropriate specialization as per AICTE norms. (List of Suggestive Branche for ITI/COE)
The admission shall be made strictly on the merit of marks obtained in the Lateral Entry Entrance Test(LEET) conducted by H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board Dharamshala. The candidates who have not applied for LEET will eligible to apply for the 3rd round of Online Counselling and the remaining vacant seats after exhausting the merit of LEET. These vacant seats will be filled amongst the candidates obtaining at least 50% marks(45% for Reserved Categories) at the minimum entry-level qualification prescribed by AICTE from time to time.
The Admission shall be made strictly on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the Polytechnic Admission Test(PAT) conducted by H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board Dharamshala. The candidates who have not applied for PAT shall be eligible to apply for 3rd round of Online Counselling and the seats remain vacant after exhausting the merit of PAT. These vacant seats will be filled amongst the candidates obtaining at least 50% marks(45% for Reserved Categories) at the minimum entry-level qualification prescribed by AICTE from time to time.
