Merit based admissions
The allotment of seats at Government Polytechnic Tumkur is a centralised process done on merit basis. The technical education department will prepare a merit list based on the marks obtained in the 10th standard and marks obtained in mathematics and science. After the publication of the merit list, the board will then publish the seat allotment list containing the name, application number and the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. Allotted candidates must report at the GPT Tumkur with the required documents and pay the fees to complete admission.
