Graduate School of Business and Administration, Greater Noida Admission Process

The Graduate School of Business and Administration (GSBA), Greater Noida, known for a myriad of courses with merit-based admissions. Positioned right in the heart of the National Capital Region (NCR), GSBA has made quite a name in the field of higher education. Today, the institute imparts knowledge through five full-time programs namely BCA, MBA, LLB, B.Sc in Hotel Management, and B.Pharma, offering various fields of study. Admission processes in GSBA are held on merits, and therefore the whole process is carried out in a smooth, fair and transparent manner for students with good academic performances. This merit is calculated on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination.

The admission process for MBA programs incorporates scores coming from national-level tests such as CAT, XAT, MAT, or CMAT, followed by an interview. Different programs have their own sets of criteria. For both UG courses, that is BCA and B.Sc Hotel Management, students are required to have cleared their 10+2 from a recognized board. For the MBA program, a candidate is supposed to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline and a valid score in one of the accepted entrance examinations; LLB program eligibility is framed as per the norms laid down by Bar Council of India.

Application Process

Application processes differ slightly across programs offered by GSBA:

1. Selection of program: Decide what course you intend to pursue at GSBA (MBA, LLB, BCA, B.Sc Hotel Management, or B.Pharma).

2. Eligibility: Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for your selected program.

3. Entrance exam (for MBA): Appear for any of the recognized entrance tests (CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT), if enrolling for the MBA.

4. Application form: Visit the official GSBA web site and navigate to the admissions/application section.

5. Filling out the application form: The form includes the online application form that accurately represents personal and academic information.

  • Graduation mark-sheets (for post-graduate courses) and degree certificate
  • Entrance examination scorecard (for MBA)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other relevant certificates as per the unexplained guidelines of GSBA

7. Application fees: Pay the application fees as per specification mentioned in the website.

8. Admission test/interview: Interparticipate admissions for MBA short-listed candidates. Other programs may have additional selection rounds, should the need arise.

9. Merit list: After institute releases the merit list based on various selection criteria adopted by each program.

10. Admission confirmation: Upon securing admission, fees and documents referred in the list should be paid and submitted beforehand.

11. Orientation: To familiarize you with GSBA and the founding facilities, an orientation program should be attended.

Degree-wise Admission Process

The GSBA admission process is elaborate for the MBA course. For admission into the MBA program, applicants must have a valid score in either of the entrance examinations accepted: CAT (Common Admission Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), MAT (Management Aptitude Test), or CMAT (Common Management Admission Test). Then the shortlisted candidates are called in for an interview. The final selection is based on a combination of the entrance exam score, the interview performance, and the merit in the qualifying examination.

LLB: The selection to the LLB Program is based on merit obtained in the qualifying examination as per the eligibility criteria laid down by the Bar Council of India. The maximum number of seats available is 120.

BCA: The admission to the BCA program purely depends on merit obtained in the qualifying exam. Candidates who have cleared their 10+2 in the required subjects are eligible.

B.Sc Hotel Management: Similar to the BCA program, admission into the B.Sc Hotel Management program is conducted on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam. This is a three-year program for students inclined to make a career in the hospitality industry.

B.Pharma: The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), a four-year program, also admits on merit based on the qualifying examination.
