Grandhi Varalakshmi Venkata Rao Institute of Technology (GVVIT), Bhimavaram is a renowned institution that provides quality education in the field of engineering. GVVIT possesses an efficiently organized admission process that adheres strictly to guidelines drawn up by the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). The institute provides primarily B.Tech courses and accepts AP EAMCET scores for under-graduation and AP PGECET scores for post-graduation admissions.
The admission process in GVVIT is classified into two categories: Category A and Category B. In Category A, admissions are done on the basis of AP EAMCET performance conducted by APSCHE. In Category B, admissions are done on the basis of merit criteria defined by APSCHE. GVVIT also provides lateral entry admission to the second year of B.Tech courses on the basis of the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) conducted by APSCHE.
Minimum qualification for UG courses is passing 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. AP EAMCET cutoff marks will differ every year depending on the competition and the seats available. The candidates are requested to check the official APSCHE website for details regarding the examination schedule, closing date for application, and counseling schedule.
Application Process
Application procedure for B.Tech course admissions in GVVIT involves the following steps:
1. Appear for AP EAMCET: The candidates must register and appear for the AP EAMCET exam held by APSCHE.
2. Cross Verification of Results: After AP EAMCET results are released, candidates can cross-verify their marks and rank on the APSCHE website.
3. Counseling Registration: Selected students must register for counseling by APSCHE.
4. Document Verification: The candidates have to go through the document verification process as notified by APSCHE.
5. Web Options: Following document verification, the applicants can enter college and course preference through the web option facility.
6. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allocated based on the rank and preference of the candidate.
7. Reporting to the Institute: If allotment of a seat is made in GVVIT, students need to report to the institute with all documents and pay fees as required to finalize their admission.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: GVVIT has two full-time B.Tech courses, i.e., Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. The two courses have a duration of four years and each course has 120 seats in each course. The admission policy for the
B.Tech courses is:
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects is the criteria for B.Tech courses. Shortlisting is done mainly on the basis of rank secured in AP EAMCET and secondarily through the counseling process organized by APSCHE.
