Gurunanak Technical Institute Diploma in Pharmacy, Nagpur Admission Process

Gurunanak Technical Institute of Diploma in Pharmacy, Nagpur offers admissions within the institute are on a merit basis, post due fulfillment of all stipulations of Government of Maharashtra along with AICTE and PCI mandates. Admission dates usually overlap the academic calendar from August-September.

Admissions to courses of the kind like B.Pharma, both undergraduate, are to be placed as per that decision taken for MH-CET and CAP whereas that to postgraduate M.Pharma shall also be undertaken keeping in view DTE. Various courses of its own including 109 students for a course in this institute are there of D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Pharm.D.

Eligibility differs with programs. For B.Pharma, a candidate must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. M.Pharma applicants should have a degree in B.Pharma from any recognized university. Some entrance exams such as MH-CET for B.Pharma and GPAT for M.Pharma are also commonly required for entry.

Application Process

For B.Pharma:

  1. Take the MH-CET examination.
  2. Apply for the CAP conducted by the state.
  3. Collect the application form from the institute.
  4. Fill up the application form and attach all the necessary documents before the last date.
  5. Pay the admission fees in cash or through demand draft if the admission is confirmed.
  6. Original documents, and two such certified copies in respect of every document.

Courses for M. Pharmacy:

  1. Take up GPAT as it is given to be undertaken.
  2. Admission procedure decides the Directorate of Technical Education/DTE.
  3. Application follows the institute procedures.
  4. Interviews or counselling may be allowed as required.

Eligibility: No particulars are mentioned to apply for courses of D. Pharmacy and Pharm.D, whose eligibility would need:

  1. Completed institute's rules and those of the regulatory bodies.

B. Pharmacy: Admission into B. Pharma course at Gurunanak Technical Institute: According to the Government of Maharashtra State rules, is purely on the basis of the CAP procedure from MH-CET results. The course is approved for 60 intake. Applications from all aspirants should be made filling up the application form duly with all documents attached before the stipulated date.

M.Pharma The institute offers the M.Pharma programs in the areas of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Quality Assurance. The two-year full-time postgraduate course has an intake of 15 students each year. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) rules govern admissions to these postgraduate courses, and the students are selected according to their performance in GPAT and academic aptitude.

D.Pharma: The intake for the Diploma in Pharmacy program is 60 students; intake is likely to follow the state level for diploma courses.

Pharm.D: The intake for Doctor of Pharmacy would be up to 10 students. Admissions to this program are as per Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) norms and state regulations.
