HKE Society's Polytechnic, Known for its different diploma programs related to engineering discipline, the institute has been authorized by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and promises the quality technical education for aspiring engineers. 

This process of admission at HKE Society's Polytechnic is undertaken considering the objective of shortlisting some deserving candidates to its various diploma courses.  normally, institute takes up admission process every year for the academic session.

Most diploma programs of HKE Society's Polytechnic take the selection based on performance for passing grade at 10th standard or equivalent exam passed from a recognized board. While a few use performances in the relevant subject areas of Mathematics and Science while admitting, most polytechnics conduct an entrance test that is exclusive for themselves and admit on a score basis which can be even at the state level for entrance to engineering in certain cases.

Application Process

The application process for admission into HKE Society's Polytechnic, Gulbarga becomes multi-step so that the admission of candidates gets done in an unbiased and accurate manner:

1. Announcement of Admissions: Institute puts a notice for admission procedure on its website and in other media resources.

2. Application Form It is either downloaded or collected in person. The institute shall keep the application form available on its website or any applicant can obtain the same personally from the admission office.

3. Submission of Documents Along with the application form duly filled by the applicant, he/she needs to submit following documents: Mark sheet and passing certificate of 10th standard. Proof of date of birth.

4. Entrance Examination: The institute may conduct its entrance examination or admit students on the basis of scores in relevant state-level engineering entrance exams. The test pattern, syllabus, and important dates would be intimated to the students through the application forms.

5. Merit List: A merit list of eligible candidates is prepared with respect to their performance in the qualifying examination 10th standard and/or scores in entrance examinations.

6. Counselling and Seat Allotment: Short listed candidates attend a counselling session by which the candidates may be able to opt for their most preferable course according to their merit rank and seat availability.

7. Payment of Admission Fee and Confirmation Admission The selected students are required to pay the specified fee and present an original document for confirmation of admission.

8. Orientation Orientation of the students who have been selected for admission into the institute, its facilities and academic regulations.

Degree wise Admission process 

Diploma Courses: HKE Society's Polytechnic provides seven full-time Diploma courses in the fields of engineering. All are for a period of three years, including theory and practical, to ensure the student is fully equipped with the knowledge. The admission procedure for all Diploma courses is the same, but capacities for each course have been kept different.

1. Diploma in Automobile Engineering: The intake capacity is approved to 60 students. It concentrates on automotive technology and vehicle engineering.
2. Diploma in Civil Engineering: Its intake capacity has been approved at 120. It deals with civil construction as well as infrastructural development of a region.
3. Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: Intake capacity for this program has been approved for 60 students and deals with the development of the computer, developing software, and information technology.
4. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: The intake is approved for 60 students, covering electrical systems, electronics, and related technologies.
5. Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: The intake is approved for 60 students, focusing on electronic systems, communication technologies, and signal processing.
6. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: The intake is approved for 120 students, covering mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial engineering.

7. Diploma in Architecture Assistantship: This program focuses on architectural design and drafting.
