Discussing about college infrastructure, my college is in hamidpur (a village near narela or NIT delhi) it is near Village so the area around our college is a bit silent as there are no traffics or shops or cafes nearby leaving only 2 3 small cafes Our college provides many facilities we have sports facilities of cricket football volleyball badminton chess Table Tennis and athletics. College doesn't have it's hostel but some who wants to stay here only there are some pg's nearby our college on a walking distance.
I am currently Pursuing Btech in Computer Science and Engineering as I got interest in science and techs at my schooling . I used to make projects through science and computers on that note I decided to pursue this career. Quality of teaching professors: mostly are new professors as assistant professor and remaining are senior professors.
Placement I would rate 3/5 As most students got placed on campus with average income of 5-6 Lpa through our college Some used to get higher too like 15 Lpa or more but a short amount of students get that. 85% is the placement rate through college. We also have pool placements through GGSIPU dwarka Highest salary offered till today is 35 Lpa
My course per year is First year: 148800 from which 5000 is refundable as security deposit. Second third and fourth year fees are same as 118800. Talking about getting my money worth as taking admission in college is that every college is ok for your placements and job it's like how much you wanted to get from your college and how much you can show for jobs, for my college it's OK to take admission here You must take it.
The infrastructure is average and it is spread over a large area of land but the that area has not been utilised properly. The classrooms are well maintained and the library is huge in size. No hostel facility. Two big sports grounds and one beautiful amphitheatre. It has clean surroundings, experienced teachers and hygienic food. The laboratories are huge in size and equipped with necessary equipments.
I am currently in my 3rd year pursuing BTech in computer science engineering. The academics of this college is above average. The teachers are friendly and helpful and use modern methods of teaching. Smart boards are available but only in some classes. The curriculum is up to date with recent developments and provides practical experience such as internships, competitions etc to take part.
Around 40 per cent of the batch gets placed every year, which is not soo good. The highest placement package offered was 12 LPA and the average package is 6 LPA , which is average for a CS student. The placement process was very smooth and students were made well aware in advance about all the stages . The college offered internships to help students gain practical experience about the functioning of job sector.
It costed me around 2,00,000 rupees per year, which is a bit on the higher side. Overall I think the money spent is worth it because of decent placement, internship opportunities, experienced teachers and great college environment and apar from that it is located in Delhi which isa prime location.
The campus life is amazing and the location of this college is great and safe, there are many places for students to visit nearby. It has clean surroundings, friendly seniors and experienced teaching faculty but the infrastructure is not so great, placements are okay and fee is expensive. There are various societies such as debating , placement cell etc and organise competitions for students to participate. The support staff is also friendly and college is equipped with tools in case of emergency
I personally really liked this college and have made hundreds of memories & lot of friends. I will always remember these years. The teachers are great , the support staff is friendly, placements are decent and college life is great . The people I met are some of my closest friends
College infrastructure is pretty good. The labs have necessary equipments and are well maintained. The classrooms are spacious. The college ground is not very big and the canteen is average. However, there is much greenery around the college and it feels somewhat refreshing.
The faculty is helpful and knowledgeable. There are many societies in the college like dance and music society,Developer students club (dsc), Geeks for geeks, Cyber art and many more and some of them are active even in this ongoing covid situation.
Placements here are average. The highest package is of 12 lpa however some students have got higher package also (off-campus placement). For example a student of my college got a package of 30 lpa. However, the placement will depend entirely on your skills so this is not an issue.
I am pursuing CSE and my fees is approx 1 lpa. So I think the fees is pretty affordable.
Don't expect campus life to be amazing here. Since the location of the college is near the highway road so it is difficult to plan an outing with your classmates unless you have your own car/scooty.
Infrastructure of the college is not really good. Library doesn't seem like a library it's more like a place to pass their time. There is a small canteen which is always overcrowded. Classrooms are huge and spacious.
I am studying, B.Tech in IT. And am quite satisfied with the faculty. All the faculties are hard working. Inspite of this, some teachers of the college are good but some don't even know the basics. Though the teachers are always helpful.
Placement from the college is not really good. The salaray package offered ranges from 10-12 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS and Wipro visit our campus for placements. Not everyone will get the job, but if you have skills you will definitely get it.
My course costs 1lac per year which is quite reasonable.
No campus life as the location is not good. It is located in a village about 2.5 kilometers from the highway. Also canteen is not really good
Overall an okay okay experience.
College infrastructure is good, libraries, computer labs and laboratories are well spaced and has all necessary equipments, classrooms are also good, sports centre is also good and washrooms are hygienic.
Pursuing B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering and teachers are highly qualified and has great teaching experience, assignments and projects are provided to us and small tests are also taken.
placement quality is ok. i think 4-5 lakh of highest salary package was offered last time and it was offered to a mae student i think and 2-3 lakh of average salary was offered last time in our college.
HMR Institue of Technology and Management is located in a orthodox environment with adverse transport facilities, but this is the only drawback . The college comprises of big and fully equipped labs, well stocked library with latest books and techniques. Classes are airy and non-congested too. the infrastructure is okayish with no hostel facility but few PG's are available quite near the colledge.
Academically college has always given toppers to the university. The College encourages students to participate in non-circular activities also by organising cultural fest, fresher party and self-defence classes. I am a doing computer science engineering and I think the syllabus is up to date and the teachers also try to make the student's placement ready.
the placement is good but not everyone is able to get one . some good companies come for the place meant but I think improvement could be made like inviting more companies so more children could get a placement also I think
the college has value for money. the yearly fees is 1 lakh which I think is quite reasonable for an engineering course but I think some facilities could be increased like having ca in the classrooms as many colleges have ac and they charge almost the same fees
the campus life is great and I think and I will never forget it. the students are friendly and there are many activities. the canteen is quite affordable.
I think the college is good and I would like to add that the staff is very inviting and they help you to settle in
College have an average infrastructure, Labs are well equipped for all the important practical knowledge and experiments, but many of the apparatus are old and some don't work properly. College have a canteen, which is quite good, library also have good collection of books, you can even borrow your academic books from there. Wi-fi is also available but it's very hard to get the password for WI-FI. There's no well playgrounds for sport activities and it's the biggest disadvantage of this college.
I've studied electronic and communication engineering and the teachers are good, they are very strict about the curriculum and try hard to teach everything which is necessary. But teachers lack most important practical knowledge and you have to work on your knowledge by yourself to get fit in for the placement.this college focuses more on the theoretical knowledge and it's really hard to get skills required in real world for electronic and communication engineering.
The placements are also average you will get a job between 2 lakh to 5 lakh.and the placement ratio is also very low for branches except CSE. The college is however very supportive and the placement cell is very active and also they let you participate in many interviews. Companies like TCS, Infosys are main recruiter and other companies are mostly startups which hire. For mechanical branch if you don't have programming knowledge placement is almost very low and hardly any student gets placement
The fees for engineering course is 99500 for first year and 94500 for other 3 years. As this is still low as compared to many colleges, this college is worth it if you don't have any options and you don't want to study in any private university. If you study hard and have good relationship with teachers, you will get your degree with good marks, and also you will get placement, as faculty support is very important.
College life was very good, you will get friendly environment, a good studying environment and you can also participate in many clubs to have good experience. Teachers are also supportive but some are very arrogant.you have to keep a good relation with teachers. Students are good but most of the students are here because they were unable to get admission in other colleges. The best part is you will have good friends and seniors are also supportive. Campus is safe but transportation is a big issu
The college experience was good.i had a little high rank and I got this college, it is a good college and you will get much of flexibility to work on your skills apart from just focussing on academics only.if you take part in other curriculum activities you will definitely have a good overall experience. Also college rewards for every activity you take part in and they also keep updating and keep motivating through different seminars.the only major problem arises is transportation.
Hey Aman,
If you want to take a drop year and prepare for a better college or join any lower tier college this year is and should be entirely your decision and let no one else take this decision for you.
However, how others as well as me (here) can help you is provide you with the pros and cons of the dilemma you're undergoing.
Now, to begin with your JEE percentile might not allow you to take admission in any of the top-tier colleges.
TRUE , but unlike many other aspirants you are clear in your goals that you want to pursue a career in CSE.
Most of us prefer top tier colleges just to be around the best brains and majorly to develop a perspective in life which may not be the case with you. Also a good score in JEE will not get you anywhere in life other than a good college, wherein also, your efforts will build your future.
Also, I would like to add, in the software industry your skills are given more preference to the college you've done your graduation from and it often happens that students from a lower tier college ends up getting more paid.
This being said, it is also true, that a top tier college gives you peers being around whom helps you develop and hone your skills in a symbiotic manner and this makes you a better person in life. Not to forget the alumni network you become a part of, might also come in handy in several occasions.
Also resume shortlisting may have some effect over others (belonging from a lower tier college), but do remember its your skills that you develop in these 4 years or over time that will take you further in life.
Now, its entirely your decision what you want to do. You know yourself better than anyone else and therefore do retrospect and come out with the most logical decision you feel is correct.
All the best :)
Hi Candidate,
B.Tech counselling involves numerous rounds and hence the candidates are provided with the options of Slide/ Freeze/ Float so that to properly distribute and allot the seat among various categories and streams in various institutions.
Float option provides you the option of getting a better seat than the previously Alloted seat only incase, the Seats are available in Higher-ranked institutions. If you do not get any better seat, then you have to take admission only in the alloted seat.
Hope that this answer helps you.
