Considering reputable engineering colleges in Ernakulam, it also includes Ilahia School of Science and Technology (ISSAT), which offers a wide range of undergraduate and diploma programs. For B.Tech programs, admission will be provided in ISSAT according to merit obtained in the Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical Examination (KEAM). KEAM is an Entrance Examination for admission to Engineering Colleges in Kerala. Generally, it is held year after year in the period of April-May, and the latest KEAM is scheduled from April 24 to April 28 in the year 2025. The basic eligibility requirements to enter into the B.Tech programs in ISSAT include successful completion of the 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as necessary subjects and the minimum percentage laid down as per Kerala Technological University (KTU) along with qualifying KEAM Entrance Examination.
Admission to the diploma programs might take place in a different mode. Thus, candidates are requested to acquire knowledge regarding the individual admission requirements for these programs from the institute or the relevant authority of the state governing diploma admissions for Kerala. It is generally understood that admission procedure at ISSAT would run along with the KEAM schedule. So, after announcing KEAM results, students should be ready to apply and report for counseling. It is in the month of June or July when usually KEAM releases the results. B.Tech: ISSAT has B.Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Admission to these programs is based on KEAM scores. Each specialization in the institute has limited seats, while the total intake across all programs is 288. Candidates must have cleared 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and must qualify in KEAM to be eligible for admission.
Diploma: ISSAT also has diploma programs in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Most of these are three-year full-time programs. Different kinds of application and selection processes may apply for admission into the diploma programs-be it on the basis of 10th-grade marks or state-level diploma entrance examination.
