Indira Bahuuddeshiy Shikshan Sanstha's College of Pharmacy, Malkapur IBSSCOP is a premier and well-established pharmaceutical education. Its pharmacy college accepts students strictly through merit-based admission procedure followed by the merit list and gets approved by the AICTE. IBSSCOP provides postgraduate as well as undergraduate pharmacy programs to cater to diverse requirements and expectations regarding education in a career path in the field.
The admission at IBSSCOP is also aimed at making merit selections on the basis of entrance examinations taken at the state and national level. For admission to B.Pharma, a score from a state-level MHT CET score is accepted for admission. A GATE score is considered while making admissions at the post-graduate level, that is for M.Pharma. The academic year in IBSSCOP starts in the last week of August or first week of September. Admission starts a few months before the academic year itself.
For admission in B.Pharma, one has to qualify in 10+2 with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Mathematics as mandatory. Selection will be on the basis of scores secured in MHT CET, and then subsequent centralised admissions as conducted by the state. Aspirants seeking M.Pharma must possess a degree of B.Pharma from an acknowledged university with valid GATE score. The college has specialized courses of M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Industrial Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutics.
Application Process
There might be a few variations in terms of the admission process for every IBSSCOP program :
B.Pharma:
1. The candidate shall be appearing for MHT CET examinations.
2. Registration for Centralized Admission Process CAP conducted under Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell.
3. Submission of duly filled online application form along with specified documents.
4. Payment as application fee stated by the respective state admission authority.
5. Participation in respective rounds of CAP for seat distribution.
6. In case of seat allotment at IBSSCOP, student reports to the college for document verification and admission confirmation.
For M.Pharma:
1. Appearing for GATE.
2. Checking college website for the M.Pharma Admission notification.
3. Submission of IBSSCOP M.Pharma Application form available in college website
4. Submissions of filled in Application form with attachments of documents that include GATE score card, B.Pharma degree certificate and mark sheets.
5. Pay the fee for application as required by the college
6. The college may invite the shortlisted candidates to the counseling or interview round.
7. Final selection is based on GATE marks and total academic records.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: The B.Pharma program in IBSSCOP is through MHT CET score. The college provides 100 seats for this four-year undergraduate program. Eligible candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. The selection process follows the centralized admission procedure of Maharashtra state.
M.Pharma: IBSSCOP offers four M.Pharma specializations, each with 18 seats:
Admission to these programs is done based on the GATE score of the candidate. Applicants must be a B.Pharma degree holder from any recognized university. The selection may also be done considering the academic performance in the bachelor's degree and the GATE score.
