Indu Prakash Polytechnic College Mau is an affiliated college situated in state Uttar Pradesh of India. Located in the village named Maira Sofipur in the Haldharpur area, this school is a co-educational institution with goal of delivering technical education. The college is also recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which places it in the register of AICTE recognized institutions in the country. Currently the institute has a teaching staff of forty members including faculties, and the institute provide a number of diploma courses in the fields of engineering for the variety of interests of the technician and engineer students.

This college has many amenities intended to improve on the academic experience for it learners. Indu Prakash Polytechnic College has a total of five diploma courses delivered under full-time based courses. Being an Institute of proficiency the total number of sanctioned intake capacity per course is 300 thus holding a lot of potentiality for engineering aspirants. As mentioned above, each course takes three years, the time that will let the students gain essential knowledge in the chosen area – both theoretical and practical.

There are few basic requirements for the students of Indu Prakash Polytechnic College and the most crucial part of it is the entrance examination which is conducted known as Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic)/JEECUP. It is a fixed examination that enables the would-be students to merit themselves an opportunity to join the college and do various diploma courses. The JEECUP application forms are generally released in mid December every year which is actually the opening of the admission season. The JEECUP is the centralized admission process conducted by the Board of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh (BTEUP) in which the counseling process is also organized. By the above merit based system the deserving students are provided with the chance to carry out their technical education in the institute. However, the college has other amenities necessary for the all-round development of the learners as following; It has enough playing fields for cricket, volleyball and soccer to ensure effective training of the student sports teams and healthy body sprit amongst all students. An annual sports event also fosters a spirit of healthy rivalry and brother/sisterhood among students. To enhance practical experience, the college provides number of workshops which includes large number of machines and work stations as per the requirement of latest techniques are available with the college so as to relate the theories to practical. These facilities are most helpful where students undertaking the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Production) shall be undertaking their industrial training hence the simulation of these facilities. Transport facility is also provided by the college so that students traveling from different areas can go to college easily. When students enter Indu Prakash Polytechnic College for their education, they do not have to go through vegetated expectations and worn out teaching pedagogy but get unsurpassed education coupled with best of infrastructural facilities and potential for practical exposure.
