Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow is a government institute that was established in 1984. Institute of Engineering and Technology commonly known as IET Lucknow is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

IET Lucknow is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is an affiliated college of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. IET Lucknow offers courses in Engineering and Architecture, Management and Business Administration, and Computer Application and IT stream.

IET Lucknow offers B.Tech, MBA, M.Tech, and MCA courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For admission to IET Lucknow to the B.Tech courses, Students should score valid marks in JEE Main/CUET UG, while a GATE score is accepted for admission to IET Lucknow in the M.Tech programme. Students of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Lucknow can avail the various scholarships offered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Students who aspire to IET Lucknow scholarships can visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and apply for the AICTE scholarships. Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarships.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls	Rs 50,000 per annum	This scholarship is for girl candidates who have taken admission to the degree course at AICTE approved institution/college. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.8 Lakhs. Up to two girls per family can apply for the scholarship.
AICTE PG (GATE) Scholarship	Rs. 12,400 per month	Candidates who must have a valid mark in GATE can apply. Candidates must have taken admission in the first year of M.E/ M.Tech courses at an AICTE recognised institution/college.

Only B.Tech courses are offered at the undergraduate level. B.Tech course is offered in 9 specialisations. The duration of the B.Tech course is 4 years. Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering are some of the streams in which B.Tech courses are offered.
