I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Provided you are getting in both the colleges you have mentioned above it would depend mostly on you which to choose. At IET lucknow you will not get a NIT tag at iet lucknow you will not get great exposure as compared to north east nits on the other hand in north east nits you will not get to live in city like lucknow which is well connected and almost a metro city now both are more or less the same but all in all IET lucknow may be good choice for a student over north east nits unless he is from the northeast itself
First of all I want to tell you that there is no such branch as biotechnology at undergraduate level in IET LUCKNOW but talking about branch change you can definitely have it done after the first year the forms for branch change are rolled out you will have to fill your preferences then according to the cpi the branch slide can take place.
First of all I would like to tell you that IET lucknow is a government college under the UP government and is considered a good college but for your information it still does not take part in nirf rankings hence it is not ranked under nirf ranking but the overall review of this college is good and has good return on investment as it has a decently low fee but has a decent placement record.
Its very tough to get iet lucknow at that rank as from this year it has started taking admissions from jee main and since it is a good college so people will opt for it on a good number moreover it's a government college you might try for it in spot round but in that too it's difficult to get iet lucknow even lower branches for a general male candidate but you should give it a try you might just get some lower branches best of luck!
Dear Student,
From this year all AKTU affiliated colleges start taking admission through JEE mains and IET Lucknow is one of the AKTU college.
You need to come the rank between 50-60K to get at least any of the seat in IET Lucknow as it is the top college of AKTU, and if you are looking for spot round of counselling then still you need to come under 1 lakh for the safe side.
As your rank is above 1 lakh so there is no chance that you can get any of the seat in IET Lucknow in nay branch of B.tech, it will be more good if you look other gov. AKTU colleges like REC.
Good Luck :)
Dear aspirant,
I would recommend you to go for ece in biet Jhansi as the colleges above neither comes in tier 2 or tier 3 colleges so it would be better if you take higher branch in lower cut offs colleges.
Apart from this in terms of placements and faculty iet lucknow is on a better place but you are getting civil or electrical so it is better to join non branch in biet Jhansi.
Although various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

I think NIT Uttarakhand electrical will be better.Though both colleges are good.IET is more or less a regional college, despite being one of the best in the state. On the other hand NIT, Uttarakhand is associated with the “NIT family” and hence, better.
In case of placements, faculty, recreational facility NIT Uttarakhand is more better than IET lucknow .
In case of branch it is dependent upto you in which field you want to go .But I think you should go for electrical. Electrical grads have many wide range of options. Chemical branch is rather narrow in career wise unless you have a huge interest on those subjects. Therefore, it is dependent upto you.
Hello Student
Institute of Engineering and technology Lucknow as a good placement record with a record of cpga of 7.2 out of 10. But in overall MBA placement is not so good. The situation have changed now result coming out is very hopeful. A k t u Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh is the in which the IET is affiliated yes change the synereo of placement and education of IIIT Lucknow under the direction of AKTU. AKTU IET as a good ranking o. The situation is changing and growing rapidly which is a point of hope for future students.

Hello,
A candidate with All India Rank 160789 secured admission to Mechanical Engineering in INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY,LUCKNOW in round 1 UPCET counselling. Considering the cut off the chances are low to get seat. However, the cut off may decrease in subsequent rounds depending on total number of candidates applied for counselling, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.
To check the cut off use the link given below

The library is good; all books are available in our college library. There is no need to buy books from outside as the library allows borrowing books for a particular time. Classes are fully modern and clean. The computer labs are also clean, and all systems are in running condition. Wi-Fi facility is available but does not work properly.
The quality of food in the mess is the worst. The college doesn't have proper medical facilities. The hostels have less number of toilets and washrooms. The canteen food is okay. The campus is very small so there are very few options for sports. College is having table tennis, badminton court, basketball court. It doesn't have a cricket ground, football ground and a volleyball court.
There are many facilities in the hostel such as Wi-Fi, library and playing ground. There is also a canteen, and the entire campus has Wi-Fi. There is a library, etc. The quality of food served is excellent, and the canteen is also good. Medical facilities are available.
