For CSE, IT, and AI-ML, you typically need 85-90+ percentile.
For ECE, Electrical, and Mechanical, a percentile around 75-85 might be enough.
For Civil, Chemical, and other core branches, admissions are possible with 65-75 percentile.
It's fantastic that you're aiming for MIT's Computer Science program! It's a highly competitive field, so starting early in your preparation is key.
Focus on these:
Avoid these:
Key Timeline (General Guidance):
Class 11 (Now): Focus on strong grades, exploring CS through self-learning and projects , starting to prepare for standardized tests, and exploring extracurricular activities. Class 12: Continue with rigorous coursework, finalize standardized testing, work on application essays and letters of recommendation, and continue building your CS skills and portfolio.
Remember, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Be patient, persistent, and most importantly, enjoy the process of learning and exploring computer science!
All the very best
Unfortunately you are not eligible for lateral entry admission in UIT RGPV, SGSITS, and DAVV because a first-year engineering student cannot apply for lateral entry admission because lateral entry in these colleges is only available to students who have already completed a diploma in engineering, allowing them to directly enter the second year of a B.Tech program; therefore, you need to complete a diploma first to be eligible for lateral entry.
However you can take part in college level counselling of UIT RGPV, SGSITS, and DAVV to take transfer from your college if any seat vacant in the college they will notified it on their official website in the month of July.keep visiting site for admission details.

Among Sri Sairam Engineering College, Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, Veltech College, and Panimalar Engineering College Veltech College generally has a higher cutoff for most courses because of high level of competitiveness for admission compared to the other three institutions.
However, the exact cutoff for each course will depend on the specific program and the year of admission like mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and communication engineering has low cutoff for MBC DNC CATEGORY in 2023 less than 150 score so you might get admission in these streams in any of stated colleges.
Hope this helps
Hello,
Candidates aiming to get into the MCA course must appear for the State level entrance test, JECA, which is conducted by the West Bengal state government to get into MCA streams in institutes falling under it. However, there are always alternative options for such courses depending upon the policy of respective institutes. Some institutes might take admission based on merit as well as on management quota seats directly.
For non-JECA applicants, all such alternatives would depend on the availability of seats and on the discretion of the institute. All communications regarding admission options on non-JECA basis, eligibility, etc should be directly done with the admissions office of Calcutta Institute of Technology. The rules may vary every year.
This will help in the clarification of any exception or alternative pathway through reaching the institute, thereby supplying the latest admission procedures.
Some things were ok but some were not ok like hostel was not available there, facilites were good and equipment was also available there. Food provided in canteen was good. There were no living area. Wifi and smart boards works very well.
