Since your rank is not too good, its highly unlikely for you to get a college with that rank. But since you have gotten your name in the Common Rank List, you are eligible to apply in the counselling sessions go for choice filling.

I suggest you try for other private colleges or take a drop and go for it again. Best of luck

Yes , you can get GFTIs ,ie, govt financed Technical institutes at this rank. Fill your preferences while counseling judiciously and stay uopdated.
All the best!!

Dear Akshay, I am from MP and I know a little bit more real about SGSITS that is there are a lot of seats are vacant during counselling so there is high chance to get a seat in suits but might be you have to compromise with the branch as per you category or rank you can get admission possibly.

All the best

Hello Nikhil

As you have not mentioned your category so we are assuming that you are from general category and we are providing previous year cutoff so that you will get your answer regarding your admission in SGSITS Indore

Here are the cutoff ranks(JEE-MAINS)for CSE in SGSITS.

*MP DOMICILE Closing rank

*Male candidates

General- 18,000

OBC- 28,000

SC-1,10,000

ST-2,00,000

Since your rank is much more than the required rank for admission in SGSITS Indore so there are very less chances of getting admission in SGSITS

Hope I have resolved your query

Hi Vega!

Students holding domicile of their respective state only are eligible to apply under the state quota. Since you are from Haryana, you cannot apply for Madhya Pradesh's state quota seats unless you hold a domicile of that state. However, you can apply through the 15% All India Quota.

Hope this helps!

JEC is not a waste, not by a long shot. I agree it might be not good as one expects it to be. Let’s discuss JEC in terms of Infrastructure, Academics, Atmosphere, Placements.

  • Infrastructure : JEC is quite good in this aspect, you will find each department has its own building along with the required labs. However, to what extent these labs are beneficial is debatable :P
  • Academics : There is not much difference between RGPV and JEC’s syllabus, though JEC is autonomous but still you will find the course is almost same. In each of the department there are ample of senior faculties, but during my 4 years we were taught most of the subjects by ad hoc faculties with the exception of 1–2 subjects atmost.
  • Atmosphere : Now this might be subjective, because it largely depends on the respective batch, but from my experience you won’t find a study oriented atmosphere in JEC, you will have to toil to gain knowledge. Do not assume good grades = knowledge, not always true, but always fetch as much as you can.
  • Placements : JEC has good record, placement wise, although 95% of the companies offer 3–3.5lpa. Your branch will not matter much, most service IT companies allow all the branches to sit in their aptitude exam provided you clear their 10th-12th-CGPA criteria with no active backlog.

If you are looking for a job after graduation you should take JEC, if you plan to do a post graduation after your bachelor degree, then you should do some research like can you prepare for your pre-PG exam in Jabalpur, if YES then go for JEC, if not then look for the alternative in Bhopal or Indore.

In hacer earth college ranking too, JEC has a higher rank

Hope this helps you if you have any queries you are free to add in comment section

Thank you

Hey Shikha!

Hope you are doing well.

So you have got 112910 rank in JEE Main 2019. As you have not mentioned that whether you enjoy Home State quota or not, so I will consider both the cases.

If you do not enjoy Home state quota, then sorry to say, you cannot get adamission in JEC Jabalpur in a good branch. If you wait for up to last round, then you can get branches like Industrial and production Engineering, but surely they do not worth it.

Now if enjoy Home state quota, then in first round you cannot get good branches, but if you wait for  upgradation rounds you can get branches like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering etc. These branches worth the wait, if you want JEC Jabalpur.

You can check previous years' official cutoff for JEC Jabalpur here:

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

Infrastructure is good. Don't know about Wi-Fi now because it was not there when I was studying. There is a big library to study and more than 1000s of books are there. I have no idea about hostel because I never enquired about it and I have never heard of hostels.
