Jaya Prakash Narayan College of Engineering, Mahabubnagar Admission Process

Jaya Prakash Narayan College of Engineering (JPNCE), Mahabubnagar, is a premier institution with numerous technical and management courses to choose from. The college has an organized admission process in place with the objective of choosing eligible students for its several courses. JPNCE is affiliated to the concerned authorities and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Admissions at JPNCE usually open in the months after the results of different entrance examinations are declared. The college offers admissions against different entrance examinations for different programs. For UG engineering programs, admissions mainly take place through the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) scores. Postgraduate admissions take into account tests like the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) for M.Tech courses and the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET) for MBA and MCA courses.

The general eligibility requirement for undergraduate courses is passing 10+2 from a known board with Science  as mandatory subjects. Most courses require at least 50% overall marks in the eligibility exam. The postgraduate candidates should have passed their bachelor's degree in the concerned subject from a known university.

Application Process

The application process for JPNCE is different based on the course:

For B.Tech courses:

1. Qualify the TS EAMCET examination.
2. Apply for the state-level counseling process.
3. Opt for JPNCE and preferred courses during the counseling.
4. If provided a seat, appear at JPNCE for document verification and payment of fee.

For M.Tech courses:

1. Qualify the TS PGECET examination.
2. Apply through the centralized admission process for M.Tech courses in Telangana.
3. Appear in the counseling process and opt for JPNCE if provisionally selected.

For MBA and MCA courses:

1. Qualify the TSICET examination.
2. Apply for the state-level counseling procedure for MBA/MCA admissions.
3. Choose JPNCE during counseling if shortlisted on the basis of rank and availability.

For Diploma courses:

1. Pass the TS POLYCET examination.
2. Undergo the centralized admission procedure for diploma courses.
3. Select JPNCE and the desired diploma course at the time of counseling.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: JPNCE provides six B.Tech courses such as Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The admissions are done on the basis of TS EAMCET scores. The college takes 120 seats for Computer Science and Engineering, and other branches have 60 seats each.

M.Tech: M.Tech courses in Computer Electronics and Digital Systems, as well as CAD CAM, are provided by the college. Admission is on TS PGECET scores. Every course has 18 seats.

MBA: The MBA course at JPNCE admits on the basis of TSICET scores. The course has a sanctioned intake of 120 seats.

MCA: The admission to the MCA course also takes place on TSICET scores. 120 seats for the course are provided by the college.

Diploma: JPNCE offers diploma programs in different fields of engineering like Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, Electronics & Communication, and Mechanical Engineering. The admissions to these courses are on the basis of Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS POLYCET) ranks. The intake ranges from 30 to 120 seats as per the branch.

Admission documents required in most cases are:

  • Passport size photos
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • Postgraduate degree certificates and mark sheets
  • Entrance exam score card
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate (if required)
  • Any other applicable certificates as directed by the institute or admissions authority
