Jyothishmathi College of Engineering and Technology, Shamirpet Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Situated in Shamirpet, Hyderabad, Telangana, the JCET. An AICTE-approved affiliated college, JCET offers undergraduate and diploma-level engineering programs. The process of JCET admissions is designed to choose deserving candidates for its varied technical courses. The academic calendar at JCET generally kicks off in the months of July/August, and admissions are conducted a couple of months prior to it. While the dates may drift a little each academic year, the prospective candidate should be best advised to begin his application a little earlier, around February to March. 

For admissions, JCET follows a merit system, considering candidates' performances in entrance examinations and academic records. According to B.Tech eligibility criteria, 10+2 or equivalent examination with subjects in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics must be completed. The average qualifying examination score generally lies between 50 and 60 percent. Application Process

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: JCET has B.Tech programs in three specializations, namely Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The admission to full-time programs shall be based on the candidate's merit in the engineering entrance examination either conducted by the Government of Telangana or by any National Testing Agency followed by the counseling process. Candidates must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects and the college's minimum percentage criteria.

Diploma: The college offers two diploma courses, namely Electronics and Communication Engineering (II Shift) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (II Shift). Admission to these two programs shall depend on the candidate's merit in the relevant entrance test(s) for diploma courses, such as POLYCET in Telangana. The eligibility is usually passing the 10th standard examination with good scores in Mathematics and Science subjects.
