Kalam Institute of Technology Polytechnic, Berhampur (KITP) is a reputed institution committed to higher education since 2008. Set up in the Govinda Vihar Govindapur Berhampur Orissa this affiliated college has been training the future engineers for more than ten years now. It has four diploma courses, in different fields of engineering, to meet the difference interests of learners. The faculty of the institute comprises 54 committed professionals who always provide a favourable environment to learners. It is still not understandable absolute number of enrolment but one can easily judge the operation quality from offered courses and infrastructure of KITP.

The mentioned institute has other numerous amenities meant to improving learning environment for its learners. A central library has more than 18000 text and reference books and numerous national and international periodicals for the student community. A spacious, well lit reading area with a sitting capacity of one hundred and twenty students will be an excellent study environment. Kalam Institute of Technology Polytechnic is provided with a nicely equipped lab for every department and an air conditioned central computer centre. For the purpose of providing maximum connectivity KITP facilities an 8 Mbps broadband internet with Wi-Fi connectivity in all the areas of the campus. In order to provide transport facilities for students from Berhampur city to the Institute, 22 new mini-owing to various problem, buses with 45-seater capacity each have been introduced to the institute.

KITP has four disciplines that provide only full-time diplomas, and all these programmes take three years to complete. These programmes are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. It is difficult to know precisely the number of students intake and graduation rates, however, the existence of these four primary engineering disciplines shows that the purpose of the institute is to provided skilled technicians to the market.

That is why the admission process in KITP is as simple as possible, and any person who wants to become a student can easily do it.
