• The candidates must satisfy the RIT Sangli Ph.D. eligibility criteria.

• Then the candidates must fill in the application form from the official website. 

• Then, eligible candidates have to appear for a Common Entrance Test conducted by Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

• Then, candidates who qualified for the Common Entrance Test are called for the interview or viva-voce conducted by Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

• Employed candidates have to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC). 

• For the selection of a candidate, a weightage of 70% to the entrance test and 30% to the performance in the interview/viva-voce is given.

• Further, a general merit list is prepared by the university, based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance test and the interview/viva-voce.

• Candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Departmental Research Committee/Central Research Committee at the time of the interview/viva-voce.
