Khaira College, Khaira Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has started a hostel to provide accommodation to the boys especially those coming to college from distant places, It can accommodate seventy (70) students. The Selection for the hostel seats shall be made purely on the basis of merit i.e. on the basis of marks secured by the applicants in the last examination. The admission into the Boys' hostel opens in July. Rules for the admission, discipline, leave of absence, messing, etc. for the borders are communicated in due course by the concerned Superintendent.

The college has two ladies Hostels named "Bhagini Nivedita Ladies Hostel" Phase-I & Phase-II which have been functioning since 2001-02. 200 students can be accommodated in the hostel. Priority is given to the students belonging to S.C. and S.T. and meritorious ones. Rules for the admission, discipline, leave of absence, messing, etc. for the borders are communicated in due course by the concerned Superintendent.

The Name of the college library is Khaira College Library which is fully computerized. It contains about 30000 books arranged under different sections and subsections. The Staff and students of the college may use the library. READING ROOM. The College has a reading room adjacent to it. The Staff as well students of the college may make the best use of it.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college possesses a computer center in its premise with 20 sets and internet connectivity for the use of staff members & students as a support to their study

The college has a moderate canteen function in the college that meets the food requirement of the students at a reasonable rate, below the existing market price.

The college has a seminar hall for seminars, meetings & conference purposes. It has an Auditorium also which is used for teaching & meetings.

The college has Sports occupy a major interest of the students. The college provides facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Every year some students of this college earn either championship/remarkable recognition at the university level sports competition on various events. Outdoor games: Students take the opportunity of playing outdoor games like Volleyball, Basket Ball, Badminton, Cricket, Ring ball, Kabaddi on the college premises. Competitions on those events are held every year and the winners are rewarded. Indoor Games: The college provides for indoor games like chess, carom, etc., and also conducts competitions and rewards the winners.

The college has well equipped and well-maintained gymnasium that witnessed the active participation of those students interested in it.

The college has First Aid is provided in the hostels. During an emergency, the boarders are immediately shifted to the nearest C.H.C. A Community Health Centre (CHC) is in the proximity of the college. Students with illness or needing emergency medical service during working days are rushed to the hospital. YRC unit of the college organizes health camps in the college for the students & the local public. Cases of serious health hazard are referred to as good hospitals

The college has Transport facilities to cater to the needs of students and staff: Public and private vehicles are easily and plentily available.

The college has a parking place adjacent to the entrance of the college campus for bikes/ four-wheelers. Thus the carbon emission is at its lowest level on the campus.

The college has made an arrangement with the local banks such as UCO Bank and S.B.I. to allow our students to open zero balance account and money in form of scholarship/ stipend is credited to their respective accounts.
