Kishan Institute of Information Technology, Meerut Admission Process

Kishan Institute of Information Technology, Meerut, is also known as the KIIT Meerut. It is one of the really prosper and well-settled institutions imparting undergraduates and postgraduate programs such as Management, Computer Applications, and Commerce.  The admission cycle for KIIT Meerut usually coincides with the academic year. Most students begin their programs around July-august. Since these dates differ yearly, pupils should prepare their applications well before that time, often around January-February before the academic year. It makes the admission of BCA, BBA, and B.Com candidates for Undergraduate Programs dependent on their performance at 10+2, and on any appropriate entrance test held by the university or authorized agencies. 

The MBA program from KIIT Meerut considers the results of these national-level entrance exams like CAT (Common Admission Test) and MAT (Management Aptitude Test). The eligibility criteria are specific to the program. For undergraduate courses, the candidate should have completed a 10+2 from a recognized board with the required minimum percentage. A bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognized university is must for the MBA program, along with a valid entrance test score.

KIIT Meerut accepts scores from the following entrance exams:

  1. Common Admission Test (CAT) for MBA
  2. Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for MBA
  3. UPCET for B.Pharma and other programs

Application Process

The application process for KIIT Meerut varies a little per program, but the basic steps are the same:

1. Log on to the KIIT Meerut official website and go to the Admissions section.

2. Select the desired program (BCA, MBA, BBA, or B.Com) and review the eligibility criteria and admission requirements for that program.

3. For MBA admissions:

  • Appear for the entrance examinations of CAT or MAT.
  • Ensure registration for UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test) where applicable.
  • Upon completing, fill the application form for KIIT Meerut MBA, which may be available either online via the website or at the admissions office.
  • Submit the fully filled application form along with necessary documents and application fee.
  • Personal Interviews may follow for shortlisted candidates during Group Discussion.

4. For admissions to BCA, BBA, and B.Com: Fill specific application forms meant for the program in question, available either on the KIIT Meerut site or in the admission office.
Submit the completed application form along with necessary documents and application fee.

5. Required documents usually include:

  • Duly filled application form
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Mark sheets and certificates for 10th and 12th grades
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate for MBA applicants
  • Entrance exam score card (CAT/MAT for MBA, or any other relevant exam)
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • ID proof and address proof

6. As determined by the institute pay up the application fee. This can normally be done online or through a demand draft.

7. After document verification and meeting all criteria, candidates selected will be offered admission.

8. Accept the offer by paying the required admission fee and completing any additional formalities as instructed by the institute.

9. Attend the orientation program and start studying at KIIT Meerut.

Degree wise Admission Process

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): KIIT Meerut has an intake capacity of 180 seats for the BCA course. Admission is based on the results scored by the candidates in the 10+2 examination at Mathematics and Computer Science. The institute may also conduct its own entrance test or accept scores from relevant state-level exams.

MBA (Master of Business Administration): With an intake of 120 seats, the MBA program at KIIT Meerut follows a disciplined admission pattern. Candidates are selected based on performance in the national-level entrance exams such as CAT or MAT. The admission procedure includes UPCET scores; shortlisted candidates may undergo Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): KIIT Meerut offers 120 seats for the BBA program. Admissions usually depend on the 10+2 scores obtained by the candidate but also on some business study-related subjects. For this purpose, the institute may either adopt its own entrance examination method or accept scores from relevant state-level exams.

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): The admission of this program into 120 seats is based on how well the candidate scored in the 10+2 examinations related to commerce. Along with an entrance test or scores from relevant state-level exams, such admissions will be conducted at KIIT Meerut.
